Cinéma Starcité Gatineau

Staff is great. Bathrooms filthy. Cinema size is good but the air quality the other day in Cinema 8 was out of this world and very unfortunate for the longest movie I’ve ever seen in theatres Avatar 3 hrs 17 minutes. Grateful staff gave me a mask from their office.

I went to watch the new Avatar Fire and Ash movie last night. First, I want to say that the AVX theatre itself was nice; sound quality and picture... But other than that I was extremely disappointed. Starcite is rundown. The bathrooms were filthy 2 out of the 8 stalls in the women's bathroom were working, the rest either had posted an out of service sign or were clogged with excrement. 1 of the sinks were available while the rest had out of service signs. Also, really really stinky.nnTheatre etiquette wasn't enforced either. We heard constant chatter, people on their phones watching reels, seats being kicked... It was unpleasant to say the least.nnFor food, popcorn was stale, butter station wasnt being maintained, and it looked quite filthy.nnI really do hope that at some point they will renovate the theatre. I used to always enjoy coming here as a kid... It's just sad to see this place become what it is now.nnI gave Starcite a chance. I would usually go to Ottawa, and will continue to do so.

I love this cinema. It is fantastic value for money and so easy to book online. The staff are very helpful. Comfy seats, good range of food and drinks to enjoy inside.

It's ok, front staff are not trained or willing to hustle to handle large crowds. While in line for food with only 5 people in front of us we waited about 25 minutes for popcorn and drinks.

We came to watch a movie and play at the arcade and when purchasing a snack from one of the vending machines, there was an error with the machine and we did not get the correct item. Kerby the manager, I believe couldn’t he into the machine to get us our item so he offered us complimentary vouchers for our next visit and credits to play again next time. The customer service was amazing and he and the rest of tje staff were extremely friendly and polite!
