Choices Markets

Neighborhood grocery store. Supposedly bc owned. Some items are more expensive than large chain stores like safe way and save-on-food. Less expensive than whole food.

This is the very first Choices. The first store which would later develop into what would become a popular chain in BC which offers healthier alternatives for foods and medicines. Not to mention a wider selection of organics. At the time I last went-- for its 27th birthday-- it was crowded as it was going through renovations. The renovations made it hard to walk around. However I'd be interested to see what it's like once the renovations are completed.

I love the renovated choices on 16 the. The meat and deli are particularly great. Duck, venison, bison and lots of fish/ meat cuts, including duck sausage. There are lots of prepared meal/ salad choices in the deli, great yogurt variety, and lots of organics and vegan selections in every area.

It's a small supermarket. But you can get most groceries. They have fresh produce and bakery.

Great people. Excellent quality meat and fish, especially. Great deli foods that are kept fresh (unlike some other grocers) and very good natural supplements and local suppliers. Produce not always consistently fresh as some other competitors but improving. Awesome loyalty points program.
