It's a good place to buy affordable desserts. I bought a fruit tart for my sister during Mother’s Day, and she likes it! It's not overly sweet, but the crust is a bit hard.
Had a horrible experiance today checking out. I started loading up my groceries. I had about 400 dollars worth of groceries. Some really amazing high grade olive oil from Sicily, amazing fruits and meats etc. The cashier then asks me if the groceries are for me. I replied back with yes. I found the question very odd so I also said my girlfriend will eat some to why do you ask? She thaught I was an Uber driver. It made me feel profiled, Why is a cashier asking me if the groceries are for me? I am checking out with them what does it look like ? This old aged bitter woman working amidst young kids was profiling me with a smirk on her face. Her name is Diane. On top of that she wouldn't validate my parking after I spent 380 dollars. She said you didn't park in the underground when I really did and paid for parking. Meanwhile I've been to the same store about 10 times and never had a problem. I found it very off putting and i doubt I'll go back to that location. It's a shame because i like it better then the robson one because it is much bigger.
Beware of smoothie bar… they do not keep things sanitary, just look at the ground, look at the counters. Bottles and garbage on the ground, open lids by the trash can where flies are. Pretty unsanitary. Wasted my money.
I heard that Whole Foods may be one of the few bakery that offers brown butter cookies. I tried their Graham Honey brown butter and chocolate chip brown butter cookies. They do have a longer shelf life than normal cookies made with white sugar. They stay soft and chewy for 5 days. One cookie is enough to satisfy my cookie craving. The store has a wide range of muffins, fruit pies, loaves, danish, salad, made to the order wraps. A good place to grab a relatively healthy meal without tipping expectations.
I love the grocery store. Everything is organized super well. I feel like since Amazon bought Whole Foods it’s not as expensive. I love the produce so fresh and high-quality.. the only thing with this location that it’s quite busy and I can understand why. I love the selection.
