Awesome atmosphere and amazing service! Was disappointed about not cooking 2 of our steaks properly. Regardless they took it off the bill and gave us a round of drinks and dessert on the house. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. Their fried calamari was nice as well at the lamb pastrami. The passionfruit guava mule was amazing as well as their selection of fruity/sour beers.
I have tried Ultra-aged stake and burger here both were very delicious and juicy. We had asked for older stakes and we got 140 days. Highly recommended the Burger if you’re a fan of traditional burger.
I think if you look at the pictures they speak for themselves…but let’s speak nevertheless…. We had two pork chop dishes at our table and they both came at completely different temperatures as you can see one is clearly medium and one is well well done….the steak which ordered medium came with an extra piece of well done leather as you can see in the picture…finally the burger which looked pretty great if you ask me was also extremely well done and dry and though I had high hopes for the beef fat fries, they simply tasted like your run of the mill grocery store brand.
The cocktails were excellent and overall the food was pretty good with the standout dish being the blistered provoleta cheese with chimichurri. My wife really enjoyed her steak as it was cooked perfectly rare for her. My pork steak was just okay. The fires were super fresh and seasoned well.nWe had an unfortunate misunderstanding with our server that really threw a wrench in the enjoyment but the restaurant cleared up the confusion afterwards.nI will also add that the chair I sat in was easily the most uncomfortable chair I have experienced at any restaurant.nOverall a decent experience but not a destination I would purposefully seek out in the future.
We really like how the restaurant looks inside! We tried their lunch special for the YYC Food & Drinks Exp for $35. I really liked the salad. It was my first time trying beef fat fries and it does have a certain aftertaste. But if you eat it with ketchup it’s not that noticeable. Added a little bit of salt on the steak and it was very good!nnFor more food content follow me @yummy.yyc on Instagram and TikTok!
