One of my favorite places for lunch!!! Food here is absolutely delicious. Had the gaucho burger this time with the soup of the day which was a carrot and yam puree - just wow!!! Presentation is beautiful as usual, and the flavour's are just rich and we'll balanced. One of the best burgers I've had. Another thing to try is their modern twist on traditional pizza's made with sour dough and modern toppings. Alcohol menu carries a wide range and also showcases local breweries such as Cold Garden. Service her is always top notch, absolutely some of the best service in the industry. Service staff all around are amazing to deal with, super friendly, and very professional. Atmosphere is modern, restaurant is very clean. I personally highly recommend Charbar for lunch or dinner, you won't regret it.

I love Charbar for its lunches. Contrary to popular belief, I feel that their dinners are both overrated and overpriced. The lunches, however, are pretty amazing and reasonably priced. There aren’t a whole lot of options in the lunch menu but there are more than enough to tickle your fancy. I’ve been here a lot times for lunch and would recommend trying out the eggplant sandwich if you are up for some vegetarian deliciousness. I’ll probably go again just for that sandwich.

The food is absolutely wonderful, the servers are pleasant, helpful and efficient, and it's nice to see an old building made over into an attractive, charming space. And there are no televisions, which is refreshing and rare in this day and age. Highly recommended!

Food at charbar is always unique and upscale. The restaurant is in the old Simon's mattress build which touts some old school exposed wood beam architectural looks. The food is on the pricier side and it is a bit more upscale than your 'big box' restaurant like a Joey's or Milestone kits worth it in my opinion). It can be busy at times so perhaps a reservation. IMPORTANT: unfortunately while the east village (where the restaurant is) is up and coming neighbourhood it is right down the road from the Calgary Drop In centre and there are folks often in the area that are in a less fortunate position in life (think homeless). We've had a window smashed (and theft from the vehicle) while parked next to Simon's building during the evening hours so try it for lunch first maybe and make sure nothing of value is in your car.

Food was great. Service was great. We we're seated right by the kitchen / serving area so it was pretty loud
