There is so much to love about this location of Chako! The restaurant was large & spacious, very clean & comfortable! We ordered dinner off of the premium menu & I would highly recommend doing so. The stand outs for meat options were the Cajun Chicken & Boneless Ribs for sure I love ordering whatever drink special is available, so I opted for the 1L Fruit Tea - GET IT! It was absolutely delicious & stepped up my experience! I wasn’t expecting there to be sushi options, but I was pleasantly surprised at the variety & quality! The staff were incredibly attentive & kind, and I felt the cost was well worth the entire experience! 5 ’s!!
Everything from the food, design, and service is amazing. My family and I went there and walked out, completely satisfied. The restaurant was just newly renovated, and they nailed the look. There were a variety of items to choose from, like different meats, sushis and rolls, a plethora of side dishes, as well as a wide range of drinks. The grill was perfectly convenient. The staff there were amazing as well. Requests were done quickly, and they carried a nice personality. Be careful though. Do not order more than you can chew! You will be charged for any leftovers.
We came here for my birthday and found out they just recently renovated. The meat was super delicious and they have better air ventilation system now unlike before. The servers were really nice and accommodating and made sure we have everything what we need. Really enjoyed my birthday and had a great time!
We haven’t been to chako for years and decided to come here for a casual Friday night dinner. After their new renovation, the dining room are mostly booths, the quality of the food are much better than before, we don’t smell like been barbecued is a plus. They have new items on the menu now, but I’m not a big fan of their beef finger meat and mussel cocktail. However, beef short ribs, lamb and flame tiger rolls are must try. Special thanks to Wei Weithe hostess, Lingour server and Joycethe manager, who bought us this great dining experience!
I used to celebrate here alot either with family or friends since it's opening many years ago. I've finally visited and they've renovated the place. Family says the food quality and service level has increased. We had a great dining experience overall
I’ve been coming here for years as I love eating here and bringing friends and family for all you can eat. The recent renovation looks amazing and I am so happy to be coming here again for sushi and Korean BBQ! It’s definitely a place worth checking out. I am so happy with my experience here. Will be coming back for more.
Love this location after the new renovation! Go for the premium menu that has prime ribs, AAA strip lions and sashimi as the choice. Was about $55 per cover, but definitely worth it.
Great service. Great atmosphere. We really wanted this place to be great. As a Korean Canadian trust me when I say the Kimchi is not authentic. Not even close. Why is it so sweet? All the meat had red chili peppers which was a problem for the kids. Meat quality was also subpar. Gyubee or daldongnae nail that in spades. Chako.. Meat quality needs big improvement. Rice.. Another huge miss. No lettuce? Offering sushi is a good move.. But lacks a lot of choices. Overall... Subpar quality meats. Salty or too sweet marinades. Bad Kimchi. Lacks variety of choices.. Someone said ice cream was the only highlight.. Yes I concur. Most bad reviews were from months ago.. Prior to renovation. I wondered why.. Until I was told of a promo where if we show a Google review we get a discount or some perk. I didn't write one until I got home to do a proper review... Rather than a "promoted" review. I sincerely hope the owners do see these reviews and take note. Chako.. Overall was a miss. I wished them to be great. But came out disappointed. One last thing. Tip was included.. But they ask for tip again via the Machine. Another miss... . Gyubee and others don't even give you that option to add more tip. Price? Family of 4.. Ended paying more than we normally pay at Gyubee and daldongnae. I wish they had chakos spacious atmosphere in retrospect.

If you're a sushi lover, be sure to try some of their signature rolls like the spicy tuna or California roll. The atmosphere of this restaurant is relaxed and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they are more than happy to provide guidance on grilling times and techniques. The restaurant is also a great place to gather with friends or family, as the grill-it-yourself aspect of the meal encourages conversation and interaction. Overall, the Grill-it-yourself Asian BBQ spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and fun dining experience. The fresh ingredients, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere make it a great spot for a night out with friends, a special occasion, or even a solo meal. The only issue we had is with parking. This is no fault to the restaurant however this could impact a repeat visit as we don't want to spend 15 minutes waiting for a parking spot. All in all, I give this place a 4/5 stars!
Recently renovated; wayyy less busy than the Scarborough location. Fast/good service. Meat and food quality were okay, not bad but not the best. Kimchi & Tofu tasted weird and unauthentic. Service charge included in bill.
