ATO Japanese Restaurant

I love the atmosphere at ATO restaurant. Very Attentive & professional staff which made my experience enjoyable. Sashimi is fresh & high quality. The chef made the sushi in front us and took his time to perfect everything he served which was really satisfying. We appreciated the services. We’ll definitely come back and recommend our friends & relatives to visit this restaurant.

Wow what an experience! Getting to watch each piece of sushi made right in front of you, so cool! All fish was fresh and well prepared! Loved the tea refills too as I am a tea addict! The scallop Donburi was also 10/10. Overall amazing experience and highly recommend to those who enjoy a more personal food experience!

Very intimate meal - each chef's bar hosts about 8 people, with it being quieter on weeknights. You get to chat with the chefs as they cut, build, and serve sushi in front of you. Had a great time chatting with our chef, Taki, about ingredients, his favourite fish, and his career. Service was unobtrusive and easy-going. The dishes were pretty surprising and this is probably one of my favourite omakase experiences. A bit on the pricier side, but I'd definitely return.

For $58 it is a good deal. The omasake lunch took about 45 mins and the sushi was served one piece after the other. Great for those who need to go back to the office. The service was prompt and attentive. The decor was comfortable and bright. The pictures speak a thousand words.

Pricey, but food was incredible. Taki-san made delicious sushi and explained all of the dishes to us, he even gave us a look at all of his different knives! Definitely would come again next time we want to celebrate something!

5-star well deserved. From the venue, to the chef, to the food and let us not forget the service. Absolutely richmondhill's finest. If u haven't tried, it's a must. Lots of fish, that others don't have. Chef explained well. Food: 5/5

Really nice ambiance. Had high expectations considering the price but also wasn’t expecting too much considering its omakase in the gta. Was pleasantly surprise by the whole experience. Had the dinner for 2 and perfect amount of food came out and would definitely recommend for a nice night out.

It used to be one of our favourite sushi places uptown. However, they have recently really decreased in their quality and value. There is less and less fish and eel everytime we order ! The eel today was missing 1/3 of the original portion! And check out the packaging for those who Cares.
