CanaDream RV Rentals & Sales Halifax

Four of us adults were dropped off by taxi at the CanaDream depot in Halifax and were swiftly dealt with by the very helpful staff. We had some paperwork eg extra driver licenses etc. We had a lot of baggage and our suitcases were a very tight squeeze in the storage compartment so they stored them for us onsite at no extra charge after we put our clothes into the camper. We also paid for an extra mattress for the sleeper over the cab. Having already watched the introductory videos on YouTube the staff gave us a quick run through the workings of the camper and answered our questions. As first time renters we were nervous about driving and operating the camper on the road as we are right hand drive manual gearbox people. After a long flights we were tired and glad to reach our first site in Lunenburg. We read the users manual which made much more sense when your in the actual camper and the remainder of our week went smoothly. The camper is much different to drive and takes a while to adjust to for drivers unfamiliar with this type of vehicle. Some road surfaces are fairly rough and it gets noisy on steep hills. The mattress on the main bed had seen better days and there was no extractor fan above the gas hob which resulted in the smoke alarm going off during cooking even with the windows and vents open. As first time renters we could have done with more time going over the internal fittings. The passengers in the back had no view out front due to the floor level and cab top bed and only a view on the drivers side in the rear possible screen similar to the rear view would be a suggestionand the awnings are disabled which we were unaware of. We stayed at Lunenburg,Antigonish, Cheticamp,Ingonish,Baddeck and Truro. We arrived back at our pre arranged drop off time and the staff had the vehicle inspection done within half an hour. We had filled the fuel tank prior to drop off and there were no issues regarding cleaning, damage etc. We had a great week in Nova Scotia and would recommend CanaDream to others.

We rented the SVC for 3 weeks and toured Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton and the Celtic Colours events. The unit was perfect for our needs, well laid out with ample storage. Very comfortable bed.

We booked our RV thru our travel agent. This being our first time driving in a rv. The RV was clean and modern. So easy to hook up and use. I will say the check in and out process is very long so be prepared to add 2 hours at check in and 1 for check out. The halifax location was very busy and could use 2 more terminals.I would highly recommend Canadreams and would definitely use them again.

Canadream created an outstanding experience for us as first-time RV travelers. We picked up in Halifax and traveled 2,740km around the Maritimes over the past 15 days, and it went flawlessly. We were both happily surprised at how comfortable sleeping was, and we really loved experiencing having our home travel with us. They comped us an upgrade to an MHC Compact, and we really liked the size. At 24’6” long and 11’3” tall, we both got got comfortably accustomed to driving and maneuvering our RV.

We rented a truck camper for the long weekend and found the staff at canadream in Halifax polite and friendly. Check in and drop off was relatively smooth. Recommend doing the km math for your planned route as purchasing kilometre packages offered may not be worth the money .47$ for every km over
