Canadian Tire

This place has gone downhill. A lot of the staff are rude now. I have mobility issues so I use curbside pickup. When I call in 90% of the time I get talked down too. Today on 30 Aug 2024 at around 8:21 pm. I had a manager talk down to me. So if you can make the drive go to Dundas or Burlington. You will find better service.

Poor customer service towards others as well as myself. Some staff were great but some gave a lot of attitude and were very rude. I get it, it’s closing time on a long weekend but there was no signage for an early Sunday closure and they could have been nicer to a number of people who I saw try and just ask a simple question and then receive so much attitude and under the breath talk as they left. I was fine, but I did have someone literally follow me very closely to my car and wait as I unloaded my cart so they could take it back inside. I would have appreciated a little more patience and understanding.

Have been a loyal customer for too many years to count. One of the reasons is the return policy offered.nThis changed at the Waterdown store yesterday.nI purchased a product and was very careful opening the plastic case, in the event I had to return it.nThe product didn't work for my application so I carefully packed everything up and returned to the store.nI was advised the new store policy is to offer a store credit and not a refund. I'm very disappointed in this change and will no longer shop at Canadian Tire for any product that may need to be returned.

Purchased a hitch, tested to fit in the parking lot, walked back into customer service to return. Debbie was assisting me with the return. Trevor made accusations of me stealing the hitch despite the lovely lady at the register confirming my purchase was minutes ago. Bearing with him in the beginning of the return, as he is just doing his job, Trevor continued to insinuate that I had walked in the store with no hitch, just a receipt. The camera footage as well as the timestamps on the receipt are acceptable confirmations to allow a customer to make return at every CT location across Canada. Why was this dragged to the lengths Trevor took it? Could it be because my business partner and I are people of colour? I will be in touch with my friends at CT head office as this was disrespectful and unacceptable.

The auto centre at this location is fantastic!! My car had issues last November and I needed to emergency tow it to get fixed at 8am. Canadian Tire, without hesitation, said they could get me in and to bring it to them. A similar thing happened a month ago, and once again, they made my car a priority. They have excellent customer service and fantastic communication skills. I always know that my car is in skilled hands when I take it there. Even my recent visit to swap my tires was wonderful. Highly recommend this location.
