Canadian Tire

They probably have serious staffing issues; the store is understaffed and the workers are inexperienced. This Saturday morning I wandered the store, looking for a platform cart. First I could hardly see any employee in store, except in checkout area - and they were all busy serving other customers. Finally an employee told me they are in Aisle 42, which turns out to be Aisle 43. On the shelf, there were two platform carts on sales: Item A is $59.98 ($79.99 before discount); Item B is also $59.98 ($99.99 before discount). So I chose B. When I used self checkout machine but the bar code couldn't be read. I pressed "request help" and no one came to me for 2 minutes (there were only 4 machines, including mine). Then I saw checkout lane 6 had a cashier so I switched to Lane 6. When I tried to pay, I realized the price was without discount. The cashier (who is probably the only experienced person there) asked her colleague to check the price and was told the discount was only for A. I had to go back to Aisle 43 to take a picture to prove that the "price checker" was wrong. Eventually I got the cart with correct price and I am satisfied with the product itself. That's why I still have them two stars.

First time, and last. I brought my tire in on the rim, against my better judgement, to have it plugged after I ran over a screw. I dropped it off because they said they were understaffed and busy so they would call me later that night. I get a call one hour later saying that the tire needs to be replaced because it was driven on flat, they quoted me on a new tire at $325. Complete rip-off. It had not been driven on flat, so I went and picked my tire up and brought it to my regular mechanic who I usually don't bother with trivial repairs. He's a personal friend so I dropped the tire off at his place and he called me the next day telling me that he plugged the tire and that there was no damage to speak of. Canadian Tire tried to upsell me on a tire that was completely fine. Beware, they are either completely inept, or they're just lying to boost their sales.

Came in for a tire repair, the first guy had no idea what he was talking about, I him that one since it seemed like it was his first week so I moved on and the second guy that was great, he actually managed to help me. I had to wait 2 hours for the tire repair, so I pack my stuff put them in my bag and leave to walk around the store for 2 hours. As I did for 30 mins I was asked to take off my bag and show it to the staff, I explained why I'm in the store but they keeps asking me to leave my stuff at front or they have to check it. As a customer I feel like I'm not asking for much when I'm minding my own business and listening to music to be left alone. We eventually got in a heated argument and the staff force me to leave or stay in the waiting room. I have been a loyal customer of this store ever since I turned 16 and could drive a car, but today my view completely changed on CT

Found help when looking for items. Staff weren't hiding like they do in some stores. Decent selection of what we were looking for.

We've been helped instantly. Eric was more than helpful. Right away he found what we were looking for and even the ladder was heavy he didn't hesitate to bring it to the cashier. Sept.23@ 6pm
