Expensive product that often falls short. Cake and loaf is great in that they use local products, everything is made in house, supports local economy, etc. However, the process here are quite steep and I have found that the product often falls short. Their pumpkin pie cheesecake is AMAZING!! This was the first thing that I are from cake and loaf and this service my standards very high. Next I bought an apple crumble pie which was just OK. Then cookies (chocolate mint, Ginger, and birthday cake) birthday cake cookie was horrible others were again just OK. Lastly I bought a great and go cake that was vanilla and buttercream. With expectations so so low but hopes high I was disappointed again. The cake was just OK and the icing could just have been a slab of butter (litterally taste like I was eating a stick of butter and I like butter but not this much). Super disappointed, I will never buy anything from cake and loaf again unless it's their pumpkin pie cheesecake!

What a gem!! Hamilton is lucky to have this lovely little place owned and operated by people who care about what they do! Even as they serve you, you can see the look of "you are so going to love this!" in the server's eyes... and it's on Dundurn Street! In hamilton!!! Try the pumpkin spice latte square. You'll love it!

Very good bakery. High quality products. All bakery goods hand made. Limited off road parking. A bit pricey.

Always friendly and delicious. Some items are a bit expensive but usually worth it. The chocolate orange bread for French toast is my absolute favourite.

We don't go much anymore, but we do love their chocolatier and new local coffee initiative. We used to love this local bakery for all things baked and sweet, but about two years ago things changed. Their quality became inconsistent, particularly during busy holidays, and their prices went up. The turning point was a bad Easter experience. We stood in line for a long time, and were eager to try their beautiful looking treats. We bought an eclair, several boxes of chocolate eggs, and an expensive meat pie. Total bill was about $70. The eclair was inedible, one box of eggs tasted off like toothpaste (the other was great), and the pie was grossly oily and not very appetizing. We feel they're products have become overly sweet, and made pretty for instagram, but their quality is not great. They're still good, and worth a visit if you're from out of town, but now we mainly go to Weil's or Bitten (both local), or Kelly's bake shop (Burlington).
