k live in the North York area and was looking for a Mediterranean style restaurant with a western twist. Cafe Landwer was in my list for such a long time and I decided to take family to eat there.nnFood was okay, not the greatest. My family and I were pretty disappointed with the amount of food, quality and prices. Very expensive for what it is.nnThe place is pretty and neat, service is good. But the food was okay. So overhyped for what it is. Unfortunately, would not go again and would not recommend.
This is one of my family's go-to brunch spots for its consistent quality. It's quite busy on weekends, but you can usually get a table within 15min. It's also a little pricey but the food is good. My typical order is the protein-packed omelette with potatoes and challah bread. The omelette is large and delicious, with a nice consistent texture. The challah bread is very soft and good on its own. The potatoes don't have much flavour and are sometimes cut a little too large, but they're good with ketchup and have a crispy skin and pleasant texture. Good service and a nice ambience makes this an all around great experience!
We were there last week and had a great experience. The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious—we ordered a burger and a children's menu.nThe atmosphere is good, though there was a draft inside as the door was opened frequently. Despite that, I liked this place and will definitely come again.
Excellent cafe just like its other locations across Toronto. The food and drinks menu is elaborate, and preparation is delicious. Service is quick!nnTry their lentil soup with focaccia bread or avocado toast. In summers, sit on the patio to enjoy even more. Highly recommended place.
Love love love the food here. Went here on Canada day, they were quite busy, but I had a reservation, so there was no wait time for me.nnEverything we ordered was very delicious from the drinks to the food and the dessert.nnWe got the croissant benedict which was tasty, especially the potatoes. The landwer shakshuka and the Sinai shakshuka, both very delicious! And the challah bread, wow, it was to die for, so soft and pillowy just melted in our mouth.nnThe drinks were the Halva latte lacking in the halva flavour. A mint lemonade which was very refreshing and an Arak Twilight which was delicious!nnFor dessert we got the half and half rozalach, with Nutella and Lotus spread both flavors were delicious.nnService was quick and friendly. We sat on the patio which was nice to people watch.nnI would definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area.
