As a Filipino, this restaurant has become a cherished spot for me and my mom. We often visit to order kakanin Filipino delicacies, and it's also our go-to place to bring friends from different countries to try authentic Filipino food.nnThe food here is absolutely delicious and reminds me of home-cooked meals by my grandmother. The staff are incredibly friendly and always make me feel at home, which I really appreciate. The place is also very clean, adding to the pleasant dining experience.nnThe prices are quite expensive, but I can say it's kinda worth it for the quality and taste of the food. If you're looking for a taste of the Philippines or want to introduce friends to Filipino cuisine, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

We weren't familiar with Filipino food so we weren't sure what each of the dishes were on display. The staff was able to explain what they were but it would be helpful to see a written explanation. Otherwise, the food was great!

Kabalen is a gem for Filipino cuisine lovers! Their meal combos are affordable and offer a great variety. The fish is incredibly delicious, and the sour and sweet beef is a perfect mix of tangy and savory. Highly recommended for a taste of the Philippines in Toronto!

Great Filipino food in Toronto with a large selection and variety. Especially loved the pork bbq and sinigang. Staff were also very lovely. Would definitely come back for more
