I recently had the pleasure of hosting at Darbar Persian Grill & Wine Lounge for a group of 20, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish!nnUpon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to our U-shaped table arrangement, which was perfect for our large group. The layout provided ample space for everyone to sit comfortably and engage in conversation without feeling cramped. It was a thoughtful setup that truly enhanced our dining experience.nnThe ambiance of the restaurant is chic and elegant, with tasteful decor that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The soft lighting and stylish furnishings set the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable evening.nnOne of the standout features of our visit was the attentive service. The staff was plentiful and always on hand, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. Their friendly demeanor and promptness made us feel well taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time together.nnNow, let’s talk about the food—it was nothing short of spectacular! Every meal was delicious, bursting with authentic Persian flavors that delighted our taste buds. Spend a family birthday at this restaurant 2nd time. All our guests enjoyed the food, specifically all the ordered meats we tried every kind. Our favorite was definitely the kebabs.nnService was exceptional, waiters were kind and attentive. The vibe of this restaurant is great too, great music and atmosphere.nnAll our guests including the birthday person enjoyed their evening.nnAs for improvement, I would suggest providing bigger portions for warm-choice appetizers, and adjusting the desserts - baklava didn’t taste fresh. Also some interior is a bit outdated, which is very visible - tables are scratched and paint comes off.nnIn any case, expect to spend at least $100-150 per one person here as the little things add up. For example, the “Persian” tea pot was around $25, which we find is quite a lot.

The Sabzi Khordan fresh herbs, feta, and walnuts was a simple yet refreshing appetizer that set the tone for what was to come.nnFor mains, we tried the Soltani Kebab—a combination of juicy beef tenderloin and flavorful ground beef koobideh. The meat was grilled to perfection, tender, and seasoned with just the right blend of spices. It was served alongside fragrant saffron basmati rice and grilled tomatoes, a classic pairing that didn’t disappoint. The Torsh Kebob, a pomegranate walnut sauce over tender Barg Kebob, was another highlight. Its balance of sweet and tangy flavors was deeply satisfying and a must-try for anyone new to Persian cuisine.nnThe wine list was thoughtfully curated, featuring selections that complemented the meal perfectly. We went with a bold red that paired beautifully with the kebabs.nnService was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff made sure we were comfortable throughout and offered great suggestions tailored to our preferences.nnTo end the meal, we shared the Persian ice cream and baklava. The ice cream, flavored with saffron and rosewater, was creamy and fragrant, while the baklava was perfectly sweet and flaky.nnDarbar Persian Grill & Wine Lounge is a hidden gem in Toronto, offering a perfect blend of tradition and modern sophistication. From the delicious food to the warm ambiance and excellent service, it’s a place I can’t wait to visit again it will be my 4th time!. It is on the pricier end compared to most Persian restaurants, but you will see the difference in the quality and size of the dishes!nnRating: 5/5

Quality of appetizer was amazing. But in main food kabab kubide was salty, even for my family that they usually have more salt at their food was salty. When we told them they told us our customers want to have salty.nGormesabzi was not special also baghali polo and lamb wasn’t special. Barg kebob also was not life changer. I had an amazing experience at Darbar Persian Grill & Wine Lounge! We ordered the Soltani as the main dish, Mirzaghasemi as a starter, and rollet and saffron pudding for dessert. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic. The service was excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised when they asked how we wanted our kebab cooked medium, well, or well done—something I’ve never been asked at an Iranian restaurant before. They also have convenient parking space in the back. Highly recommend this place!
