We wanted a truly gluten free choice for a celiac family member’s birthday dinner. Chinese food is generally impossible, and so this was a big treat for them. But not only that, it was just good Chinese food! Riz is truly enjoyable for anyone regardless of dietary restrictions. The crispy beef was top notch, and the eggplant was fantastic. Fried rice and Singapore noodles were great. Dim sum was a treat. Thank you for a wonderful night, we will be back!
Literally the perfect spot. I would eat here everyday if I could, and I don't even have a gluten allergy. Incredible atmosphere inside the restaurant. The owner is super personable. She sat down with us and it felt like we were just talking to a friend. Noodles are super fresh and amazing. Every dish was delicious, and we got even more to take home. I also bought their jarred chili oil and use it every day.
I’ve been gluten intolerant for a few years and have missed dim sum so much. The food here was so delicious and came quickly too. My non gluten intolerant friend said he couldn’t tell they tasted gluten free. Amazing experience and great service. Little pricey but worth it.
Amazing experience! My partner is gluten free so Riz has been on our list for a while. Each dish we tried surpassed our expectations - the xiao long bao, fried rice, and blackbean shrimp dishes were a few of our favourites! We can’t wait to come back and try more. 5 stars for the wonderful service and hospitality as well!
My friend and I visited this restaurant on Christmas Day, and unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. The biggest issue was the seating. We were placed at a very awkward table near the front desk and server kiosk. The table was so cramped that the servers had to squeeze by constantly, and I had to shift to the side every time they passed behind me. The manager also ended up pressed against our table whenever they were near the kiosk, making the dining experience uncomfortable. Honestly, I’m not sure why that table is even there—it seems like it should be removed altogether.nnOn a positive note, I appreciated that the chicken was halal which was a nice touch for inclusivity and having multiple options. However the chicken didn’t taste fresh. It seemed like it had been prepared the day before.nnThat said, the servers were very kind and welcoming, and the noodle and soup dishes were excellent.nnThis was my second visit, and unfortunately, I had a similar experience the first time. The chicken didn’t taste fresh then either, and the tofu I ordered was dry and stale.
