I made my reservation online and paid in advance only to be told at the counter that there's not a single car available. 

And I was sent home and spent WHOLE DAY to wait for their call as I was told there'll be some cars sent here soon which never happened.

Neutral car rental place. The way they classify their cars is a scam. Make sure you check what car you'd get by calling them first. They classify a VW golf as an intermediate car (while the manufacturer itself clearly claims it to be a compact car)...
