I absolutely loved this bakery! The cinnamon roll is basically famous and I truly have never had a better one - every bite was amazing. The shop itself is so beautiful and it’s clear everything is made with care literally in front of you. I wish I lived in whistler so I could go back every day!
I planned to trip to whistler just to visit this place from Kamloops. I was so excited seeing their bread making videos on instagram. The shop was very well organized and it was hard for me to choose just one loaf out of selection since i already got another loaf from different sourdough bakery. Anyways, with owner’s recommendation, I tried their today’s special loaf which had some grain inside. It was not so pleasant to chew because of the hard texture of the grain. Must be healthy compare to other breads though. Lemon thyme shortbread and rubarb bread was kinda meh to me.. Cinnamon roll with pecan was pretty good. Pecan was so well roasted and it gave really good flavor to the bread. I got the cream cheese on the side - I said i am good with the cream cheese which saying no when cashier asked if i want any cream cheese. But later found out that they added cream cheese to my order but i would love to try vegan cream cheese cause why not? It tasted like regular cream cheese icing but it had some kind of plant oil like smell or mayo like smell. Hummus was great, the texture is so smooth and silky. Little too salty to my taste but it was decent. For the drinks - had indian chai and oat milk latte with high expectation for the coffee here. To be honest, coffee tasted just average to me and the chai was not so enjoyable. i ended up not finishing the half. Overall, IMO - taste wise it was average to me. However, they sell organic and vegan bread and it is sourdough so it’s even better. I was grateful to visit this shop and find out how i like it.
Our place to go for Sourdough and Cinnamon Buns regularly. This time, I also tried an Apricot & Almond Brioche Bun, and it was soo delicious. I can't wait for the next variation of sweet Brioche Bun!
I’ve been a regular visitor to BrEd due to their incredible products and passionate, friendly staff. I’ve admired Ed and Natasha’s Vegan and ethical food ethos from the outset and their consistently delicious products; with seasonal, varying, locally sourced flavours is always a delightful part of my weekly shop. I’m really looking forward to their cookbook coming out in November! BrEd is a true Gem in Whistler and Creekside and we need more ethical, sustainable businesses like theirs! Congrats on your B-Corp status! Keep the delicious sourdough; fruit and olive loaves; incredible treats; and tasty Elysian coffee coming! <3 - Laura
Best vegan place in the sea to sky! Amazing treats, bread and everything else they have. I wish there would be one near my house to go for every breakfast So nice to show people how tasty is to be vegan!!
Delicious vegan baked goods! I loved the olive focaccia and cinnamon bun. Very kind staff as well.
There's no way you can justify visiting Whistler and not stopping by here!! The food is fantastic--the sourdough is to die for and there's a good selection of other delicious baked goods the cinnamon rolls were hearty and hit the spot. The atmosphere inside is welcoming and homey; you can see the entire bakery and watch as the items get made. Ed and Natasha are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Will be back!
Hands down my favourite place to get sourdough bread! I've learned it's best to get in as early as possible since my favourite items sell out fast! The Pullman Tin, Country Grain, and Fruit and Nut are my faves. As for the other treats, my musts are their sticky buns and the carrot cake! I can't believe the cream cheez frosting is vegan. Every trip to Whistler means a trip to BReD for me <3
