Delicious, fresh food. Everyone in the Cafe looked like they were enjoying theirs as well. Just a note, check your chairs before you sit on them. Some are very wobbly and we had to switch ours a few times. Music was a bit loud for the morning but they kindly turned it down a bit.Food: 5/5
Delighted by the delectable waffles and aromatic coffee at Hut Buns Bakery in Whistler! A perfect treat to start the day. However, I was slightly disappointed to find the outdoor tables in need of a cleaning. Overall, a tasty experience worth indulging in again.
The dessert crepe/waffles were very good. The chicken pesto sandwich was ok. A small establishment would be difficult to navigate with a walker or wheelchair.
This spot embodies the phrase "straight from the oven." My Whistler journey began with a breakfast in Hot Buns, and that spinach feta croissant, my goodness, it provided me the necessary warmth that lingered throughout the day.
Delicious Nutella crepe. It doesn't come with whipping cream, you have to order it separately. I didn't know, so I stole it from my husband who came, but it wasn't the part. You order and wait to pick up your order, or they’ll call your name.
Cute little eatery. There was a line, and a wait, but that's a good sign... Right? The savory Breakfast Crepe with Buckwheat was excellent and the Mixed Berry Compote Crepe was a nice offset. The best part was the Maple Pecan Bearclaw pastry, warmed and melt in your mouth awesome! Highly recommend for a quick bite.
Very nice,homey,rusty and non pretentious vibes. We ordered coffee,hot apple cider, crunchy cream puff and spinach and feta pastry. Everything tasted delicious and satisfying on a cool breezy and rainy day.
Compared to Crepe Montagne, I prefer crepes at Hon Buns. Both Nutella and Banana/Strawberry crepes were great. I would come back next time I go to Whistler.
My new favourite place in Whistler! Everything here was wonderful from the food to the scenery. The first thing I tried was the iced Mocha and it’s the best iced mocha I’ve ever had. It has the perfect balance of sweetness, bitterness and chocolate which makes it delicious and refreshing. If you are not a fan of overly sweet iced mochas this is the place to go. I even had to come back the next day for another. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly or happy, but the delicious food makes up for it. The first thing I tried was the Spiced Apple Compote & Crumble Crepe. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. A lot of food for one person though. The O’Canada waffle was the perfect mix of sweet and savoury. And the Berries & Cream waffle was amazing. The whipped cream was particularly interesting because it was delicious, but different in that it doesn’t liquify on top of the hot waffle and stays fluffy for a surprising amount of time. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Whistler!
Hot Buns bakery offers a great selection of tasty baked goods, sandwiches, crepes, waffles. We tried these all and they were all incredible. A special shout out to the garlic cheese toast that inadvertently reminded me of similar dishes I’ve had back home in India. The waffles were the right balance of fluffy on the inside but toasty and crisp on the outside.
