Perfect little cafe in Nita Lake Lodge. I visited them almost everyday during my 4 nights stay at Nita and I loved everything I had From service to quality of food - everything was top notch. I absolutely loved focaccia, don’t have a picture of it though. I highly recommend trying it, but it’s available only after noon. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly Will definitely visit again when in Whistler.
A nice cafe with a variety of baked goods. The oat milk latte was just OK. Conveniently open at 6 am.Food: 4/5
Fix Cafe is absolutely gangster and should be the singular choice in town for espresso drinkers. Fix is the only cafe in town that can pull a properly balanced espresso looking at you Rockit Coffee, if my life depended on getting an over extracted espresso i’d come to you mfs, not to mention having one of the only manual espresso machines i’ve seen in Canada, and impressive artistic abilities as a bonus. Usually i go for an espresso, but something about the day was screaming cortado and croissant. The cortado was outstanding and donned a very photogenic bear. I hate to say anything bad about this place but in contrast to everything else, the croissant was a bit of a flop, however i think that could be solved by heating it up before serving. The other day they had some fresh af focaccia and i haven’t stopped thinking about it since, and i look forward to trying more of the baked goods. The vibe inside the cafe is also excellent other than the hideously tacky animal paintings. The one i’m sitting next to, titled “Spirit Bear; Ice” looks like it was from getty images and i’m considering paying the $250 and throwing it into the cold plunge opening in the lake. I’m sorry Stacy Bodnaruk whoever you are i know you’re just trying to get your bag but like geeze louise this is just a whistler version of those galaxy scenes the New York street spray paint artists make. Love all the plants though, especially the snake plants - the best indoor plants at converting carbon dioxide to oxygen. I feel like i’m being taken out of Whistler and into the trendiest corner of La Plateau-Mont-Royal or some other hipster mecca with the indoor jungle vibe. Wifi password could be more interesting. Maybe something like “StacyBodnarukFan96” We don’t have to talk to about the haunting fake candles on the logs hanging over head. The staff all seem very enthusiastic and passionate about providing a great experience and serving high quality food and beverage. Loving the vibes, if i ever wanted to go back to being a barista i’d want to work here. All in all SLAY cafe for sure.
Cool place, Shane they close so early, finally some late art. The breakfast muffin was great, didn’t really like the drip coffee. Over all good.
It seems from the other reviewers this place would do better with consistency. We must have came on a good day! Great looking cafe. It was bustling when we got there, so it seems to be a favorite. There was a nice selection of pastries. I had a little berry tart. It was great and favored more of the tart side which is a nice change from favoring the sweeter side. We had cappuccinos to go which were good. Strong. A good place to stop by for some caffeine and snacks.
As soon as the barista quality flat white came out in a hand crafted mug locally made! with a manicured fern on top I had a good feeling.. And this was soon rewarded after the first sip! In my mind, a good cafe starts with great coffee and builds from there.. And build they did.. Absolutely loading the carrot cake full of goodness and throwing a delish/healthy combo of ingredients in the Joffre Lake Smoothie - the only critique would have been the smoothie being room temperature, as I enjoy my summer smoothies chilled, but each to their own. Staff were bubbly and friendly despite being busy and having outdoor seating made for a perfect start to the day!
Inconsistent service. First day: great barista brewing aan excellent latte. Second day: chatty barista who was more concerned talking to his co-worker than focusing on making a coffee. Did send it back for a remake but the output was of the same poor quality. They have nice bakery items. Don't recommend the breakfast muffin if you're hungry as it is very small. Overall, worth a try but beware of the which barista is on shift.
Love the coffee here. Never had a bad one until today, burnt and overly hot milk, not creamy, just sticks the wand deep into the milk without allowing the wand to spray and oxygenate the milk. I'm not saying don't go there, far from it, the coffee here is generally one of the best in Whistler. Fun designs in the coffee, friendly staff, great food.
