A good alternative if I want ramen without a long wait. I was apprehensive about the ...
It’s a super beefy ramen restaurant. If people love beef and ramen, they should come and try their beef ramen here. Broth has a very strong beef flavour. Ramen is chewy. The portion of beef is decent. I would recommend adding more noodles as the standard one might not be enough for someone who eats a lot. I gave my phone number to the restaurant; so I could collect points. I got free upgrade of 200g noodles and a free icecream at the end of the meal. Loves them all!! I wouldn’t mention what I ate or ordered. You can see them on the attached photos. It’s hard to find parking in downtown. Highly recommended to take public transit to get here.
I ordered the spicy miso ramen with an egg. The standard portion is a lot smaller than I imagined. The flavor is strong with the noodle but light with everything else. So the whole thing doesn't quite come together for me. And I'm still hungry after the meal. All in all not that impressive of a dining experience for me.Food: 3/5
tried their signature beef ramen. the meat was tender and juicy, and i do love japanese street style curly noodles, but i think they did not accompany this broth. was quite shocked by the $10 uni - two pieces of pinky-sized portions. the free ice cream cone u get for signing up for membership makes up for the $20 price for a bowl of noodles.
Different type of ramen, quite interesting to try. Interior and vibes are like a bar, service is friendly, ramen is not bad but more expensive than average. We enjoyed the dining experience.Food: 5/5
We recently dined at BEEST, the Beef Ramen restaurant on Robson, which had recently opened. The staff was friendly, and we were seated right away. However, at BEEST, the menu exclusively features beef stock and beef meat for their mazemen and ramen; there are no other choices available. We ordered a Smokey Miso mazemen and Shoyu Beest ramen. You get to choose the portion of your meat and noodles. We settled on the regular size, which included 150 grams of noodles and 8 oz of beef. Unfortunately, the portion felt a bit small for the price we paid. The beef stock was also greasier than we expected. There was a annoying loud noise in the dining area from a fan that I wish they fix right away. Overall, it was an okay experience.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the beef broth ramen bowl, but waiter gave us a little cup to taste the broth. Very flavorful broth. The beef is tender and my shoyu ramen was very good.Food: 4/5
Came here when I was craving for ramen but it’s too hot to have the soupy one. They have good loyalty program that customers can take advantage of it from the first time they’re in the restaurant. I found the amount of meat in the regular option is good enough. It was great to have free ice cream at the endFood: 4/5
Really delicious ramen. Different and unique style of ramen than other places in my city. Instead of typical soup ramen, it is dry ramen with roast beef and soup on the side. The noodles was really good as it has nice bite al dente. I ordered smokey miso BEEST. It had a nice hint of spiciness and the other noodles my party ordered Shio Beest. The noodles is also al dente. Order ramen with poach egg and mix everything together except soup DO NOT POUR SOUP IN THE RAMEN. Side dishes was chicken karrage and fried squid kushi. Both side dishes was delicious and good as they were deep fried to perfection. Crispy texture and the freshly squeezed lemon juice cuts the richness of the chicken and squid. Last, the ice cream was good as it is green tea flavour. Highly recommend this place for anyone who want to try different way of eating ramen.
Got the Shoyu and Shio Mazeman and the beef ramen. Definitely recommend the Mazeman over the Ramen. Mazeman is a thicker dry noodle with sauce. So flavourful, lots of umami flavours. Beef is a sliced thin but still a bit chewy, but has a nice peppercorn flavour. Join the loyalty program to get free ice cream. Small restaurant but normal for a ramen shop. Probably sits about 20-25. No line but full around lunch. Parking: Lots of places to park around downtown. Alberni is usually cheaper
Raman is very very good! We ordered the Creamy & Smokey Mazemen. We went with the large large ramen and mean 12oz mean most other places would skimp on the meat, but not this place... I feel a little dumb after half way eating the bowl realizing it's way to much meat, but for the extra +19.99 defs not planning to do that again.... frigging an insane amount of meat. But a small complementary hot miso soup included. Otherwise atmosphere great, very nice design/ ascetic The prettiest chopsticks to boot NOODLES 11/10's
