My first time at this location but I used to be a regular when they had a Robson store. The ramen and karaage we had were still so delicious, but I have to say, the service was slow and at times, non-existent. We waited a while, which was expected, but acknowledgement or some updated for wait time would have been nice, especially when there are multiple tables are readily available. I know how good this place can be. I hope service next time would be better.
I grabbed quick dinner while I was in the area and was pleasantly surprised. We waited about 15 minutes to get inside and order our food. I got the large black tonkotsu ramen with regular noodles and it came relatively quickly. The broth was rich, fatty, and a bit salty. Overall it was quite tasty but I wish they added a bit more black oil for the stronger flavour. The other ramens were also pretty good but I would love to try their other dishes next time.
Loved it! My son who is not adventurous got just ramen, pork, and broth. They brought them separately, as well. Our food was delicious also. I do wish they had offerings that were smaller for lunches or buying multiple dishes. E.g., 2/3 of the size and price.Recommended dishesChashu Don, Ramen, Gyoza
Ramen was so flavourful with many options for flavour, noodles, and oil. So delicious and meat was so tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The place was very clean and staff was nice. I would definitely come back to try the other flavours. Got spicy miso this time they also had pretty generous portion sizes as well
This place is famous for its ramen, but did you know they have smaller fare to make a budget combo? The spicy chashu don is $7.95 while the takoyaki is $6.95 The spicy chashu don has pulled chashu pork covered in a spicy but savoury sauce on steamed rice. The takoyaki is perfectly cooked with a light crispy coating and the doughy octopus filling inside. Great option for a quick weekend bite
We were looking for a good Ramen place and found this location. It's in a strip mall with lots of parking. Small place. When u walk in there is a clipboard, add your name to the list. They work off that. No real hostess. Menu is on the wall by the table. Good selection and they have some combo deals you can get. We got 2 different Ramen, side dish of bamboo, seaweed salad, some chicken appetizer, and some kimchi. All were excellent and my girlfriend really loved the seaweed salad. I saw her eyeing mine. We also ordered a pork donburi which was average, taste a little bland. Kitchen is fast and service good. Price is $$ and would go back. Suitable for dates, and small family. Over 4 people and not sure they can accommodate a party that big.
This place has bizarre vibes. Service once you got it is friendly but the restaurant has this vibe of apathy. The onigiri was just a white rice ball with no stuffing. The karaage was pure average like the quality from an all you can eat buffet...rough... Not fine. The gyoza were like the ones you get frozen from T&T supermarket sold here at a premium. The black tonkatsu ramen was again.... Just average, not particularly tasty but edible. Shio Ramen was also average. The takoyaki tasted like the frozen ones you can buy and reheat. The peach soda was literally 70% ice and 30% drinkable liquid. The presentation however was decent. So overall...edible food but better options are out there.
When it’s 30C outside it’s time for Yuzu Cold Ramen inside. The yuzu sauce is packed full of flavour. Mix the sauce into the ramen and enjoy. There is a wait time when it’s busy. The food came fast once the orders were placed. Waitress was friendly and came by to fill our water glasses.
Waiter and waitress are Japanese, soup base is bit too thick to my liking, and the noodle itself is just too firm, there’s choices on the menu to decide on saltiness, firmness of the noodle and the thickness of the soup, but they never asked
Yummy!!! Service quick and friendly. Miso broth good balance. Not too thick. Noodles cooked perfectly with a little bite. Karaage on point.
