Straight forward, simple ramen. Noodle has nice texture. Shoyu ramen has strong dashi Japanese seafood broth flavor, in a pleasant way. Sesame ramen has very strong sesame paste flavor, almost like peanut butter. Gyoza is not bad. Overall, decent ramen for the price.
The broth here is absolutely phenomenal. Thick, creamy, rich, and flavorful without being too fatty or salty. Possibly the thickest and richest ramen broth I've had. Noodles are good, with some bite to them. Portion is quite generous for price point. You get lots of pork slices on top too, though my one complaint is that they're a bit dry.
Good ramen with no MSG. The soup does not have a thick layer of oil like other places. It has the right amount of salt. The price is cheap. I have a big bowl noodle for only ten dollars. The mall has two hours free parking which is a bonus for the west end location.
They moved back from Kingsway but their menu has changed. Prices are higher but the meat is softer this time. The noodles taste as good as always. I think their shio ramen has improved this time around. Very underrated place , don't need to wait in line.
Deliciousness in a bowl. Lots of noodles, extra meat would be extra extra in most other places and the broth has distinct flavours depending on the soup base you choose. One of my favourite ramen experiences ever!
Best hidden gem on Robson. Have been coming here for years. Ramen is always fantastic, no ridiculous lineups filled with the usual yuppies. Noodles are freshly made not sure what the self professed experts here think they should taste like, Miso and Shoyu are epic.
Came here on an early Saturday after an utter disappointment being told to wait in line for jinya at Telus garden. Ain't going to queue behind a rope and hostess with iPad to get into a ramen joint with half its seats available. On the other hand, Hida was complete joyous soupy, meaty, noodly goodness. Great and quick service by three girls behind the bowls! And what? You'll give both of us extra chashu eventhough one of us ordered the bonus? So for half the price we got double the meat AND service. I don't care it's in a food court area open, bright and airy. I'll take it any day over the now no flow and all show at the other end of Robson.
Amazing ramen that is a hidden gem in this city. Broth was incredibly creamy and the noodles were top quality. Service was also very quick. Note they don't take credit card.
This was a fantastic, tucked away place for ramen. Delicious handmade noodles in a rich broth with generous helpings of pork for under $10. Great value and good quality.
All the reviews saying it was no longer good had me nervous but I'm glad I took a chance. I found this place a couple years ago and it was great and I feel like it's even better now. I got a shio salt ramen with pork. It's $10 with tax plus $1.30 more for an egg. Definitely get the egg! Cash or debit only.
