Baker Street Cafe

Went to see what the hype was about here in Ottawa. Very popular on weekends. Menu wise, expect all your usual suspicions from a dining cafe. Overall, the food is good but not spectacular. The portions are generous. The fruit is the nice touch. Prices are on the high average side. Good neighborhood choice, not a good idea for large groups, but is not something I'll go out of my way for.

Nice cozy place where you can expect to get a delicious home cooked breakfast. Continuously changing specials, fresh bread, fresh fruits, and large portions makes breakfast at this place so satisfying. My only complaints is the wait to get in on weekends is ridiculous. It was not fun waiting outside for an hour with a 3yr old. The service was also pretty slow, although the staff themselves were pretty nice. Definitely worth a visit, if you don't mind the long waits.

Such an incredible apot for breakfast. Had an apple crepe with scrambled eggs, sausage, and fruit. The fruit was fresh and plentiful. Sausage and eggs were both wonderful as well. The apple crepe was just sweet enough, and not too filling. Cinnamon rolls look fantastic.

We have been going to this Gem for almost 12 years now and don't miss a weekly visit! Best portion to money ratio! Real bone in ham and full Italian sausages as your meat choice! Al, Tara, and the owner George are all extremely talented in customer communications and deliver an amazing experience every single visit. Please visit and bring out of town guests. Let's keep this local business thriving so that we can enjoy it for years to come!

One of my fave brunches in Ottawa! Be prepared to wait 15-30+ min. Very unhurried vibes. Great decor, hearty portion sizes, sweet and savory options. Can't go wrong with a grilled cinnamon bun! If you're lucky, you'll get the table with the couches.
