Story

Feline Café is a coffee shop for cat lovers. Whether you are looking for a calm space to unwind, you want to help cats in need or even if you're thinking of adopting. You'll love the cozy space where you can interact with these lovely rescue cats. It is a calm and happy space where you can get some purr-therapy and potentially find your new family member.

We are a cause-focused business, which means that our business operates in order to support the cats that we foster. With the profits, we are able to pay for housing, food and supplies for these cats that are looking for their forever home. This in turn supports the rescue and their work. Our platform - a cat café - provides them with a full-time foster home where we house the cats, as well as fundraising efforts to pay for their care.

The goal is to provide a calm and happy living space for these cats while we help them find their forever homes. The health of the cats are a top priority and for this reason we have a few rules to follow:

To enter the cat area:

Purchase or donate at the counter (per person)
Read our rules and etiquette list
Use hand sanitizer before interacting with the cats
Enjoy your visit!

Rules and Etiquette:
- No children under 12 years old allowed in the cat area during regular business hours. Families are always welcome to stay and enjoy watching from the café side seating.
- We have a capacity of 10 visitors at a time in the cat area as to not overwhelm the cats. During peak hours, we enforce a 20-min maximum time visit to make sure everyone gets a chance to visit the cats.
- The cats can be shy and may want some privacy. Please be respectful of their space and needs. Do not wake up sleeping cats. Do not pick up cats or prevent them from walking away.
- You may bring any food or beverage purchases in the cat area with you. Please remember to bring your dishes back to the café dish tray afterwards.
- Please do not let the cats steal your treats. Food from the café is for humans only!
- Pet at your own risk. Use caution and slow motions.

Our business philosophy is to create positive change on the planet, to benefit its people and animals. With that in mind, Feline Cafe will source food and supplies ethically with local partners wherever possible, will use environmentally friendly cleaning products, and will purchase upcycled furniture from Re4m.
