About

Welcome to Avro Museum. This site is dedicated to documenting our organization, and we invite you to review mission, goals and status.

Story

Initial research for the replica aircraft project took some 8 years and resulted in the group receiving a multitude of Avro historical technical documents and media references. In honor of this growing collection, the name of the organization was changed to A. V. Roe Canada Aviation Museum Association (Avro Museum).

Mission

The Museum’s challenge for 2014 and beyond is to find funding for a large airport hangar in which to complete construction and store the completed aircraft. It is hoped the uniquely Canadian project will inspire your support.

Highly recommend; this "Arrow II" plane will fly in a few years. Lots of memorabilia in museum include original blue prints, posters and even Arrow beer!
Very interesting, and the flight simulator is a blast. Great place to see some of our Canadian history.
A unique place where Canadian Aviation History combines with a state of the art project to illustrate and remember the accomplishments of the Canadians who for a time were the world leaders in aviation technology. You can also view the Arrow II project which is creating an air show demonstration aircraft in the image of the original Avro Arrow supersonic jet interceptor. There is also a full sized simulator that will allow you experience what it will be like to fly the Arrow II Located at the Springbank Airport it's well worth the trip to attend one of their open houses !
These guys are doing something revolutionary and technically brilliant. They are building a 3/4 scale, flyable replica of the Avro Arrow. Definitely worth booking a visit to get a taste of history with a healthy dose of modern tech.
Amazing project being undertaken by a very friendly and dedicated team of highly skilled and enthusiastic volunteers. Had a great tour of the hangar where they're making the magic happen. They answered all my questions and could not have been more patient. Now I can't wait to see it flying!

A fantastic and comprehensive collection of Avro documentation, a flying replica of the Avro Arrow build project, large scale Arrow and Jetliner models, as well as a sophisticated simulator of the replica being built. A fantastic tribute to our Canadian Aviation heritage!
