The building looks beautiful and modern design 5 levels. It was a great place to take kids to check it out. The most fun part of this place was some instruments allow people to play. Kids can learn the history of music. After visiting, you can walk to the library. It was a perfect downtown city day trip.
Perhaps one of my favourite museums I've visited. Definitely a must do for anyone visiting Calgary. Plenty of interactive features that make it extra engaging
This place was ok. Brought my kids who are ages 10, 8 and 3. We got through the whole place in less than 2 hours. The kids enjoyed some of the interactive activities but there was not a ton. I enjoyed the historic instruments and some of the costumes, as well as the interactive things such as the keyboards, drum s and dj equipment. This place is just around the corner from the central library so we visited there as well.
Visiting Studio Bell in Calgary was an exciting and informative experience! The exhibits were engaging and well-curated, offering a deep dive into Canada’s rich musical history. The interactive displays and live performances added an extra layer of fun. It's a must-visit spot for music enthusiasts and anyone curious about the power of sound. Highly recommend!
First time to visit the Studio Bell home of the National Music Centre, I was visiting from Ottawa. I was rather surprised the contents of this museum, 5 storey building that full of music icons, their individual stories that serenade the music industry. It’s like a music festival but it’s in a museum. kimball Theatre and the organ was impressively designed to accommodate guests in very comfortable chairs to enjoy the shows.nYou can even try to play any instrument that available for all the guests to play and be a musician for the day! there is also an original Piano Organ that sir Elton John play and donate to someone else, Beatles with their stories how did they all started and the first ever gig in canada ! And of course all the Canadian music icons. nIf you have not been here, I would highly recommend to visit this museum!nnThank you Canada,
