Called to have 2 things looked at: 1) Low Water Pressure in House 2) Upstairs shower making high pitch sound from faucet Charged me $180 to do the following for #1: 1) turn off well pump 2) run water in house to drain pressure tank 3) shake tank to identify water still in tank. Used this as rationale that the tank was bad. 4) used portable air compressor to add air to pressure tank 5) turned well pump back on. This cost $180. Ridiculous. We went upstairs to check on issue #2. The entire time we were upstairs the plumber was acting as though this was a problem I was just adding to the service call, as if this wasn't part of the original request. Proceeded not to do anything other than turn on the shower and faucets to get the problem to occur. Did not go into crawl space behind shower. Did not undo faucet. Just chalked it up that it could be numerous issues and left. They then called later to let me know that the quote to fix the water tank would be ~$1200. After doing some research, I ended up buying all of the parts needed (Water Pressure tank, pressure gauge, pressure switch, and tools) for $350. It took me, a person with no plumbing experience, less than 1 hour to uninstall and put in the new tank. This would have been $850 in labor charges. I do not recommend Arndt & Sons plumbing after this experience.

We use Arndt and Son whenever we have a plumbing need and they are always wonderful. They are always professional, punctual and have reasonable prices. I highly recommend them.

We've had them in twice in the last 2 years. Once for a washer hookup that was leaking, and once for a dishwasher hookup that was leaking. They replaced the hardware on both and were 100% professional. Punctual, professional, kind when explaining the problem and the fix. And it's very affordable. Thanks Wes!!!
