Incredible selection of beer that is less available in retail stores. Knowledgeable, honest staff that will both represent their personal opinions and also temper their opinions for the general consumer. Really great experience. Drank "the sourest beer in Ontario" and for me it was spectacular for someone else, given that description, it would have been adequate warning. We only ate some chips, so can't comment too much on the food. Will return.
Quaint location, friendly staff, huge selection of beer. Fries were very good. Chicken cesar fries were good at first, but not got sick of them 1/2 way through. Smash burger with double patty wasn't very flavorful. Carnita tacos were tasty. Menu is missing some freshness, some salads or veggies. Also, with no table service, the expected tip is still a minimum of 15% which I didn't like.. Would go back for a very casual beverage, not particularly for the food.
Great selection of beer and food is surprisingly good. Had a fried chicken burger which was better than some more celebrated fried chicken places. The seating outside is amazing, especially during the quite weekday evenings. Highly recommended for folks who want a nice place off from center of uptown Waterloo to enjoy an evening.
The four of us went to this interesting place. Small menu, interesting flavours. I had the watermelon salad, not your ordinary salad. It was compressed, cut into cubes, with peanuts, cilantro and a spicy sauce. Very refreshing on a hot day when you want something cool. My partner had halome tacos. The fries were made with malt salt and homemade ketchup and aioli for dipping. Very simple, deceivingly delish! Highly recommended.
The best Nashville chicken and chip truck flies in town. The chicken on the burger is so juicy and spicy - just the perfect amount of everything. Must try if you haven’t
Great bar with excellent variety. 18 taps that constantly rotate. Small batch varieties, and the best part is that they're no TVs, so you have to talk to the people in your group or go solo. Btw, best burger in town, nothing beats it. I also had their peach Caprese salad. I don't want it any other way now
A mixed review for Arabella Park. Great patio, kept clean, staff were very friend. , helpful and attentive, good ambiance, nice location. Has a kids area to keep them busy and is fenced in. The drink selection is quite varied and decent. My husband had the orange seltzer but it had zero carbonation to it. I had the sour ale with fruit overtones and it was good. Amongst the craft beer selections, they also have seltzer, cider and wine selections. For food we had the zucchini tacos, fries, and chicken thigh sandwich. The menu is quite varied for the few items it has and it would appeal to everyone. Has many vegetarian options which is appreciated. The items are very creative and presented well except for placing a large burger on a very small plate. We both found the food extremely over salted which was a whole star less in ratings for us as it over powered the flavours. Hope that this not a conscious choice to sell more drinks and just an over zealous sprinkling. The portions are small plate offerings which we are fine with but found it on the pricey side. This resulted in the 2nd star reduction for value.
Very cute bar, with a huge outdoor seating space. They rotate beers on tap very frequently so almost everytime you go there's a new beer to try. They give out samples too to make sure you like your choice!
Hoppy? Hazy? Dark? Sour? Strong? Cider? Double? Stout? Saison? Lager? Pilsner? And of course IPAs. Arabella has them all. Great selection of rotating craft beer. Best french fries in town and funky atmosphere. One of my personal favourite watering holes in KW. Cheers. Only complaint are the chairs... Get more comfy seating and I'll be there twice a week! Still cheers to a great place!
My favourite place in town! Constantly rotating taps, an ever changing menu, and the absolute loveliest staff! The malt vinegar aioli with the fries is a permanent favourite and the smash burgers are to DIE for. You’ve got a lifelong customer here!
