We have been going to Beertown regularly since it opened. My husband holds regular business lunch meetings with the Charcoal Group but favors Beertown. We love the menu and drink selection. We recently had Ashey E. as our server for dinner. She was very knowledgeable about the menu selection and let my son pick out a root beer!  Despite it being a very busy evening, she was very patient, professional and quick with the drinks. She was exceptional with my four year old. The manager even stopped by our table to ask how our meal was. I was impressed with the new menu and the service.

What a find! Moved here from Vancouver a few months ago and haven't found a place we like yet...until today! Food-AWESOME.(lots of Gluten Free options) Service-WICKED! Price-fair. Beer selection-GREAT! Atmosphere-PERFECT! We found our place. THANKS!

When I first moved to Waterloo and people wanted to meet up at a place called Beertown, that is located in a mall, I was skeptical to say the least. Since then, I've turned into a regular customer here. The menu is consistently great (I am told everything is made from scratch, down to the ketchup) and I've yet to have a disappointing meal there. Yes, it is pub style food, but it is all high quality and fresh. Not surprisingly, the beer selection is amazing. Lastly, the service is excellent. I just went there tonight with my wife and it was our server's first day on the job. Our order was misheard and when my wife's main didn't come out with mine, the server was profusely apologetic and within minutes a manager came to tell us my wife's dish would be made rush and it would be comped. Evidence that they make customer service a top priority.

This is one of the best spots in Waterloo to go for beers and pub food. The craft beer choices can be interesting at times but typically there isn’t anything too adventurous/creative such as at Arabella Park. As for food, I usually get the pulled pork poutine so I don’t know how great everything else is. The clientele is a mix of students, trendy young professionals, and families. I’d say most of the time the place is filled with trendy young professionals on dates or friends watching big sports games.

This place is awesome. We’ve been here many times and always got great service. Only tried their Poutine and Burgers and they were both delicious. Great selection of beer. We were so happy when we found out that they have our favorite local beer..
