Abe Erb Waterloo

We've always enjoyed coming to Abe Erb as a family. The kids love the games and the husband loves the beers. Our waitress tonight (Lanna) was fantastic.....seeing that the kids were not up to par with their behaviour asked about dessert while they were in the bathroom so that we had the option to opt out. Our one daughter is gluten and dairy free so we were happy to find that they have a GF bun for the burger bit a little disappointed that there was no kids dessert option for her (most places even just throw a fruit bowl her way) She's really good about it anyway so we gave the go ahead for one ice cream. The waitress feeling bad that the little one would be missing out brought her a small bowl of gummy worms in lieu of ice cream. We're super appreciative of this gesture. Our daughter commented how nice that was because she didn't have to. Thanks again for a lovely Sunday dinner out. Well be back again....next month I'm sure.

Super slow. Horrible service Took almost 10 minutes for server to come to our table. Food took 30 min to arrive. Meatloaf was warm but all veggies were cold. Portion sizes were good. Someone ordered a cheeseburger and didn't get any cheese. No one came to see how everything was. Ist and last time I'm coming here. After we finished our dirty plates sat for 10 min then we received our bill- dirty dishes were never cleared. Gave the waitress a 13% tip- she was mad didn't say thanks and walked away .

Went there for my friends bachelor party. Great service, great food and awesome beer. It's a cool looking place! Shame I had not heard of it before. But because of the construction in the area I hadn't been up there in a while. Now that I know it's there I will go back. Tasty Nachos! Yummy burgers! Refreshing brews! UPDATE 2017-08-04 Went a few times after the original review, the service and management at the Waterloo Location are terrible. Went in a on a week day almost no customers there, took 15 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. The staff saw us and were just standing at the bar doing nothing. Finally after we sat down the waiter disappeared for another 15 minutes before taking our drink order. Took his sweat time standing at the bar before getting the drinks. Finally gave us the drinks and took off before we could order our food and went back to standing at the bar. My friend had to get up nearly 10 minutes later to fetch the waiter. I can understand time delays during a busy day but it was dead and they were literally standing in a group at the bar. Went back again gave them another chance had a similar experience. I decided that I would only go for beer. I usually would call ahead to get the beer as often they had more demand than supply. I understand this is how small brewing companies work and have no problem with it. Often times they would run out of my beer at the Growler filling area/store but would have supply at the front. Every time for 3 months they would fill my growler at the front bar as it was the only supply of the beer I wanted. Called in the next time and asked to get a fill at the front the manager told me I was being, "rude," and non of the staff would do that as it was, "illegal". He then hung up the phone on me. Done with this place, it's a shame.

Went for the first time this evening. There were flies buzzing around us and it was hot and muggy. They were out of both of the drinks we first ordered so had to choose something else. Would have tried their beer but I didn't like the samples I was offered. Our server was great at bringing our drinks and the appetizer we ordered but after MORE than 30 minutes had passed and our meals hadn't arrived we asked another staff person to check on our order. When our server came to the table she told us that our meals had been prepared but were made wrong so had just been sent back to the kitchen to be re-made, which was clearly not true given the lapse of time. I wish she had told the truth, which appeared to be that she forgot to put our order in. She then took another drink order from my husband and said it was on the house. The server apologized far too many times and talked too much once she knew the error had been made. In the end the appetizer was the only thing taken off our bill. Not giving this place another chance.

Love this place! Went there with girlfriends for a late night drink. Was a great place to hangout and have a good time. Nice ambiance, interesting layout, good food ( tried the nachos). They have weekly live music so was added bonus. Interesting selection of beer. Will probably go back for dinner next time.
