The Boathouse

THIS A MUST READ; It was the past summer late August! It was a nice night; brought someone special we had went for a walk and decided to have a night cap before going home, it was nice! The male server was great! Just was a bit rushed to sip up b/c they were closing. It was a memorable time, we sat outside and it was something special! I would have to take it down to a 2 Star, when you have onsite ATM machine; it should have enough flow in it for weekends... Also with it; "NOT OUT OF ORDER". You make a person spend all that more $ because you had a cover charge, u can't let the person in with paying you a cover and a drink on debit. The cover guy was really nice and apologized; which was very thoughtful thank you for that! It was very cold out; I had to take a taxi to again to the closest ATM machine. So was not worth it. Upset really. And please you do not judge a person for coming alone, you don't know what kind of day a person has had, or news that person just heard or it was was a date to be celebrated, my x passed on the date, last year. Also my b-day coming up. Hope to be treated with respect, but thanks for that apology; really if it weren't for that; I would never come back. Thank you 🤘🌻🍀

There is lots of patio seating close to the lake: a beautiful view! I go for the vegan options - the black bean burger is very good. You can get takeout, but it won't be fast. The staff are very friendly.

I'm new to the open mic scene at this place. Played my second time tonight with my bud Alex. Welcoming and comfortable vibe all around. Friendly, fun, cold beer. Great music. Great sound and setup thanks to the beautiful Tasha (if you haven't heard Tasha's voice and guitar, do yourself a favour) Staff is top notch. I'm glad I was introduced to this place. Thanks for two fun and memorable evenings. Looking forward to many more!

Nice venue, good atmosphere. Was there for Open Mic on Monday night; well put together event! Food can be hit or a miss; the poutine was extremely salty when I had it and a friend experienced the same thing.

The Boathouse boasts a wonderful location, especially for a patio drink on a summer day. However, the location is the only praise I will afford this restaurant. I have been here several times and always leave disappointed and frustrated. My most recent visit with a group of 5 resulted in 2 of our members never receiving meals, despite following up with the waiter several times. Half an hour after inquiring about the missing food for the third time, our waiter came to our table and advised that the lost meals would not be coming and had been cancelled off the bill, which he then proceeded to hand to us without offering any discounts and barely any remorse. There have been other poor experiences, including an encounter with the worst Veggie Burger I have ever tried (tasteless paste on a bun), however the above described situation was the worst service I or any of my party that day have ever received. Bad enough in fact, that it lead me to write my first online review. To summarize, I actively discourage this restaurant as an option to as many people I know, so they will not waste their time or money on a restaurant that does not value customers or food quality.
