Amici

Just tried Amici in Pickering... overall I have to say the food is very good, and so is the service. We had a great meal starting with garlic bread, nice salads and excellent pasta dishes.nnMy only complaint with Amici is the atmosphere. I like restaurants that have a cozy, darker atmosphere, that provides more private seating. This place is too bright, ceilings are too high, place is too loud, no privacy at all. Felt like I was eating in a cafeteria. That's just not my thing.nnBut if that's not an issue for you, then Amici is an excellent place to go out for an Italian dinner. Easy to get to, lots of parking, friendly staff.

A Perfect Lunch Experience at Amici!nnWe visited Amici in Pickering for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic time. The restaurant has such a warm, welcoming vibe, one of those places where you instantly feel relaxed and looked after.nnFrom the moment we arrived, we were taken care of by Kelly, who was truly wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests without ever being intrusive. Her positive, genuine energy added so much to our afternoon.nnNow, onto the food and wow, it did not disappoint! We started with two pizzas to share: the Americana and the Amanti di Carne. Both were incredible — perfectly crisp crusts, generous toppings, and packed with flavour. Honestly some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time.nnFor our mains, we ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with roasted potatoes, Fettuccine con Funghi Bianco, and Fusilli con Salsiccia. Each dish was beautifully prepared, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The chicken parm was tender and perfectly breaded, the fettuccine was rich and creamy with earthy mushroom flavour, and the fusilli was hearty and bold with just the right hint of spice from the sausage. Everything was so good we found ourselves passing plates around so no one missed out.nnIt’s rare to find a spot where both the service and the food are equally outstanding, but Amici truly delivers on both fronts. Whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or a special gathering, it’s a place that hits all the right notes. We’ll definitely be back — highly, highly recommend!

Such an amazing find!!nMust try - caesar salad, butternut squash ravioli, Alfredo sauce pasta.nnWe also tried amici pizza which was pretty basic but super light. Tiramisu was light and fluffy as well but found it a little sweet for my preference.nnMost importantly Xander provided us with exceptional service. He was the one to recommend the butternut squash pasta which was a hit.nnDefinitely visiting again!

Had a lovely time when we went for a celebratory dinner at Amici. The flavours were on-point and the service was top notch, as always. Ordered the following:nn1. Frittura di Calamari - very lightly breaded and served with a lovely dip redolent of dilln2. Bruschetta - went very well with the flavored oiln3. Fettuccine con Funghi Bianca - the best of the pastasn4. Gnocchi ai Formaggi - a close second, super creamy and tastyn5. Manicotti di Ricotta - too much cheese, and this coming from a cheese connoisseurnnWe are lucky to have such an amazing restaurant right within Pickering. Remains one of our favourite places for Italian food.

Christina was a fantastic waitress. Food was absolutely delicious. We were pressed on time going to the casino for a concert and she got us in and out in a great amount of time.
