I called this store on the recommendation of others for turntable repair. I chatted at length about my problem and the proprietors made me feel comfortable and were knowledgeable. I took in my turntable on a Saturday and two days later they called to say that it was fixed. I was so happy and impressed. Their customer service was admirable and they explained the problem with my turntable and fixed it. I can now play records again and am very happy. When we return to a state of normalcy I will use Altronics to come to my place to redo my speaker system. Honorable shop!
I had been wanting to purchase a sound system for quite some time. And I had a superb hands-on/personable shopping experience with both Ron and Rob. These two gents are very well versed in the equipment they sell. They provided top-notch service; tuning and setup of my new turntable, and acquainted me a novice with everything to know about my new sound system I had purchased from them. I highly recommend them, or give them a visit if you’re into the market for high end audio equipment!!
I have been a customer of Altronics Stereo 2000 for about 10 years now and they are a fantastic place for audio equipment. Ron and Rob are extremely knowledgeable of all audio gear. I consider myself somewhat well versed in the field but am still very much a novice compared to their level of expertise. I recently purchased a pair of floorstanding speakers from them and they understood my needs and budget and offered an incredible deal. It also helps that you can demo the gear in their store. Even if you know what you're looking for you should check them out as their pricing is very competitive. They have really impressed my wife and I and will continue to be our go-to audio and home theater store.
I have been purchasing stereo components from Altronics, a friendly neighborhood store in Etobicoke, for at least 15 20? years and decided this week to upgrade my slowly dying amp. Ron quickly figured out what I actually needed --- based on my interests, how I should set it up with zero difficulty, and I went with his good advice. Very happy with Altronics' professional and fast service, expert recommendations, and competitive pricing. I enthusiastically recommend Altronics.
I am new to the area and first time customer of Altronics. I really enjoyed meeting Ron and Rob and got great advice. After my Music Hall turntable packed it in as a result of one too many moves, I purchased the Clearaudio Concept from Altronics with the upgraded arm. Thank you for taking the time to transfer over my Dynavector 10X5 cartridge and doing a proper set up on the turntable - the most comprehensive calibration I have ever seen. The result is outstanding! I might be using the same cartridge but the upgrade in sound quality is incredible. All I want to do is listen to my vinyl. Thank you again for the personalized service. Highly recommended!
Needed a couple of vintage pieces repaired as they were not performing as well as they once did. Ron did full diagnostic/repair on my Luxman pre-amp and 6-zone power amp and eliminated the annoying hum and static. Good as new. Super helpful even after service as I had some set up issues that they walked me through. This is not a big box store which is a good thing as the service is personable and knowledgeable. Great selection of quality entertainment gear that you would not find in most places.
A friend told me to visit Ron at Altronics for a turntable/stereo setup. Was extremely happy with the service and advice...very knowledgeable and definitely not pushy in sales. Price was great and everything was ready to go in a day even with a Sonos product that had to be ordered in. Highly recommend supporting your local businesses and getting great advice!
Exceptionally patient and helpful in helping pick out speakers. Came and set them up at the house with no fuss, no muss and no extra charge. This is not my area of expertise and I felt that they had my best interest at heart and were more than happy to explain things to me during set-up and after when I had some follow-up questions. Very happy with the speakers that were chosen. Definitely would recommend this independent store to others. Excellent customer service paired with quality equipment, great combination.
I was recently shopping for a new turntable and being in the area decided to visit the store. They have a wonderful selection of hifi gear, and more importantly both Ron and Rob gave me some great suggestions to consider. They took the time to explain various decks and cartridge options that were available. I appreciated that they both suggested where a little more money would be well spent, and where it wouldn't really benefit my current system. And the guys offered to do a final alignment of my turntable, so at home was simply plug and play. Most importantly it sounds fantastic! These guys are passionate about hifi sound, and they want you to be happy with your purchase. Thanks again Ron and Rob! I'll be back!
Don't pass up this little audio shop. If you're looking to build your audio system, be sure to visit Altronics. Ron and Rob carry some of the best audio equipment you'll find in Toronto, with knowledgeable and personalized service to boot. You'll find a few of the popular high-end brands here, but it's the lesser known gems that are the most impressive. Over the last three years I have built my system from components at this shop and these guys have always done right by me. Visit and schedule an audition...you won't be disappointed!
