Dmitry and his team are polite, courteous and do quality work. He took care of the permit and required inspection. They worked very neatly and left without a trace of a mess. They were also very respectful to work quietly during my two young sons naptime! Thanks guys!

Dmitri and his colleague replaced the leaking faucet in my bathroom. It leaked and required repairs every year. The house is quite old which makes plumber repairs a problem. Dmitri figured out how to fix the leak for good without ruining the walls. Thank you Dmitri!

We live in a 100+ year old semi-detached house in Toronto. We had a sewage backup in our basement bathroom which led to an infestation of phorid flies - my worst nightmare! After much research I learned that we would need to get an exterminator to kill the existing adult phorid flies, but they would only return if we did not identify the source, which was a sewage issue that could only be addressed by a plumber. With the Christmas season fast approaching I called Dmitry in a panic hoping he would be able to come quickly to address the plumbing problem. He arrived the very next day precisely on time. He did a very thorough investigation of our plumbing situation in the entire basement, and did a video inspection of our main drain in the bathroom (where we had the backup). We discovered the backup was the result of a clog in the old P-trap at the front of the house, and that the previous owners had done some very shady hack jobs with the plumbing both in the bathroom and the furnace room which were contributing to the fly infestation. Dmitry and his assistant worked tirelessly for 5 days and did the following: - removed the old hack job plumbing in the furnace room which was connected to the main floor powder room (the previous owner had installed a waste grinder system to the main floor toilet so they could use a 2" drain pipe that they connected to the basement bathroom drain). In its place he installed a proper 4" floor drain. - he removed the old rusted cast iron vertical drain stack in the basement bathroom and installed a 4" pvc drain with a proper clean out access (we previously had to remove the toilet each time to access the main drain); - he discovered that, because there was no drain in the furnace room, the previous owners had run the furnace drain hose under the floors and through the walls into an open drain the bathroom next to our vertical stack - which is where the flies were coming from! - after 2 unsuccessful attempts to snake the front sewer line p-trap he replaced it with 4" pvc pipe with clean out fittings. This involved removing part of our front driveway pavers, excavating the old clay trap to replace it and backfilling the excavation. Dmitry always showed up precisely on time on the days that he said he would, he put down drop cloths and plastic barriers to minimize the debris on our floors and furniture in the vicinity of the work, and he always cleaned up after each day. He also explained every part of the job to me thoroughly so I would understand the nature of the problem and his recommended fix. Their price was reasonable for the amount of heavy duty work involved, and in fact ended up being below what was originally quoted. I would hire A to Z plumbing again and recommend him for sure.

In a 40+ year old house, things get old, including shutoff valves. I needed my water main valve replaced, outdoor shutoff valve replaced, and outdoor tap (bib) replaced. Dimitry answered my call as soon as I phoned him and he was available for the job as soon as I could get the city out to shut off my water. What Dimitry quoted me is exactly what I paid (+tax). He said it was going to be a 4-5 hour job and it was just that: arrived on schedule and finished on schedule. Excellent service and workmanship backed by a one-year warranty. Would recommend Dimitry to anyone looking for those annoying, yet essential plumbing jobs that keep getting put off. Thank you, Dimitry!
