Story

B.G. Music Academy is a music school in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, Ontario offering music classes to children and teenagers of all abilities. We offer lessons in Jazz and Classical Piano; Blues and Classical Guitar; Voice training; Digital recording classes and more. The B.G. Music Academy provides an excellent curriculum, bringing students from simple melodies right through to the level of a concert performer.

Owner: Jazz Pianist, Berklee graduate, Mr. Dragan Petrovic.

What a wonderful music establishment. Not only have I been equipped with the appropriate hardware to pursue my melodic desires but I'm also a student of Mr. Petrovic's whose working his way through the course curriculum. This has been like watching a dream come true. I'm so grateful.

If the location is important to you then this place will do. Some things are overpriced and the classes were ok. You can find better value and variety at L&M or Steve's. So if you need some parts or repairs, then this place isn't bad. Just check the prices at other stores first. I stopped going here after my nasty experience with the owner. Since then I went to L&M, but take a look at classes in Park Lawn, Mimico, or Roncesvalles. I do not recommend this place to any friends or parents unless their options are limited by location or distance. I should add that I have been contacted by the owner, but I personally still wouldn't go there again.

I've been with Dragan for some time now and each class has been nothing less than amazing. His style and approach to music is so inspiring and fresh. I am very proud to be able to call him my teacher for all that he teaches me. Every session is like a Grammy concert playing Contemporary Jazz, Blues, Bossa nova, Spanish and Classical while incorporating a variety of scales, chord progressions, finger picking techniques and strumming patterns. Most importantly to me, his experience is like no other when discussing advanced theory. Thanks to him I am constantly challenged and always improving. Dragan is very professional and passionate about what he does. I am grateful for all that he educates me with and I wouldn't choose any other music teacher for my children and their children. Nice n cozy store with knowledgeable staffs with hearts for a good music. Went for a guitar accessory this summer, and enjoyed listening to what makes a fine guitar or even becoming a pianist. Price was excellent as well.

Professional service. Reasonable prices. Great variety of acoustic guitars and accessories. Kudos for relaxed atmosphere.
