Highly recommend! What the shop lacks in aesthetic, it makes up in the honest and straightforward service from Paul. He’s a man of his craft and serviced the seized motor in a turntable that I inherited within a week. I’ve been back for a new stylus and other miscellaneous audio needs since. Ask the right questions: When can I pick it up? How much? Easy as that.

I brought my turntable in and asked the owner of the shop to look at it. He was very insulting and rude while I asked him questions, at one point mocking a punch to my face (I guess because I asked one too many questions). I’ve never experienced anything like this as a customer before. The shop looks like an episode of hoarders, just piles of stuff everywhere, rather than an organized shop or store. I was given a “receipt” by the shop owner for my turntable repairs which states that “if you leave your stereo equipment for more than 30 days we will sell it”. So he quotes me “at least 10-15 days” for repairs, and then 2 weeks after that it’s his? What if I happen to be away? What legitimate business steals from their customers? Stay VERY FAR AWAY from this place. I will never step back in there again.

Fixed an issue with my Dual 604 turntable within 5 minutes that Bay bloor's turntable clinic couldn't solve in two separate visits! All that was needed was to adjust a knob that was in plain sight, and now the tonearm will rise high enough to clear the record when the record finishes and the auto return kicks in! Once you get past his gruff personality, what you find is a man who can fix your turntable (et AL), and that is a rare find these days! If I could give him 6 stars I would! Cheers, James

Wow! I Just left National Sound and I have to say that I was extremely happy with the experience. The owners name is Paul and he was knowledgable, kind and fixed my turntable while I waited. He also took the time to educate me in how to use the turntable and he set it up at no extra charge! I can't recommend this place enough. Sweet man.

Well...he fixed the issue but broke something else and It took forever! Had to keep calling and essentially reminding him to fix it. Communication from his end was terrible. Would not go back here again.
