Alta Vista Towers Apartments

Lived here for three years. Had a bug problem when I moved in but I told the staff and they had an exterminator in the next day, and didn't have a problem since. Always had fast service if anything was out of order, usually the same or next day a repair person would come. Apartments are old and cold af in the winter, but they give residents heaters, and electricity is included so had no problem plugging in heaters. Four stars because it needs some serious updating, windows, doors ect. Staff is a bit cold at first but the longer you stay the nicer they are. Get an apartment higher up so you don't have to listen to traffic as much. Good prices for the location.

Don't come here unless you're a fan of roaches. Can't even type the word without cringing. Unhealthy, unclean environment. Even with DOZENS of picture proof, they deny it. They have been reported to the City already. Can't wait until something is done about this.

I have lived at Alta vista for two years and I have nothing but horrible experiences. First off the management are rude and a nightmare to deal with. Secondly, in the last 6 months they’ve had to spray my unit twice for bedbugs and have reoccurring issues with plumbing that has had the water being shut off for up to 3 days. Not only that the units are garbage. Don’t rent here. Trust me you’ll find a better and you deserve better.

One of the worst buildings in Ottawa!!! Service is terrible good luck having service elevator on for moving out . Superintendant is there to make money with lots of attitude and not to help u . Ground floor always smells like garbage. Would neverrrrrrr recommend anyone this place dont do the same mistake as me and pay the extra 200$ a month for a place you will be comfortable in !

If you have any kind of respatory issues DO NOT live here. Our family had asthma problems the moment we moved in and the disappeared after we moved out. The ventilation is never cleaned and whether you see them or not the are roaches in every apartment. As we were leaving they removed the counter to replace it and the whole underside was COATED in roach droppings even though we kept it clean and did not see any. Any repairs you get done are fast and poorly done. The office staff was always helpful.

Staffs are very rude always with a grampy looks. My wife always tries to avoid to talk with office staffs for anythings since they have angry tones and are not approachable. Windows leak air as if you feel the rooms are refrigerators and you need to bundle up yourselves in your rooms for getting worm. Talked several times about the heating, ironically staff said room heating is ok but tenants don't find the heatings are ok.

Had appointment for a view ,got in there i was told it is rented, but no one bothered to let me know before heading to there and the stuff was disrespectful More over the ignorance they show never seen in this world!!!!!!!!!

It's a decent place to live for maybe a year or two but that's it. The building is passable but dated, the windows are absurdly drafty and they don't let you control the thermostat so you either need a space heater or to bundle up in your own home in the winter. The management also takes the term "24 hours notice" very liberally so keep that in mind. More of a management issue, the rest of the building staff are pretty helpful and nice most of the time. It's not an awful place to live but it's a transitional place to live for students or anyone who can't afford a better place at the moment for sure. The location is really convenient, right beside the Alta Vista shopping center, down the road from Trainyards, the 44 and 86 bus routes run right by and it's really close to downtown.

Rent increase! This isn't something joke! We're struggling and still with pandemic. We lost our Jobs. Many of us aren't working today and the landlord increase the rent today. I just wanted to know if this is only me or we're all the same.

Very terrible staff, lazy when fixing issue like broken water tap, leaking in the bathroom8 times notice for 6 months for same problem, rude when trying to kick you out as soon as you determine to leave. Poor condition in Ventilation. Cockroach and even rats in Summer. Again, no effective action is taken after notice. Cheap but nightmare.
