Had a fantastic massage with Katie P, she absolutely killed it! It's great to kick back into good habits with a relaxing and rejuvenating session. She adjusted the pressure perfectly and was able to work out the mad amount of knots in my back. I left feeling refreshed, tension-free, and ready to book again!
I've been a client of theirs for over three years, and I’m giving two stars only because of my awful recent experience with their customer service. I made the mistake of thinking my appointment was half an hour later than it actually was. I was on my way when the receptionist called, informing me that I was late and by the time I would get there 15 minutes were left in my appointment and they didn’t have anyone else to fill-in later. I was charged a no-show fee, but the receptionist said they would contact their manager to explain the situation and see if they could waive it.nnThe fee remained on my account for three months. During my last call, the receptionist repeated the same response as before, saying they would contact their manager and let me know. I asked them to follow up since no one had reached out to me before. The receptionist responded with an attitude, and an hour later, I received a “text” confirming they would be charging me for the no-show fee, which they had confirmed with their manager.nnIn the past three years, I've never missed an appointment, but they have often contacted me “called” to reschedule or adjust my appointments for their convenience, and I've always complied with their requests. A week before the missed appointment, they also asked me to change the time, which led to my confusion about my appointment time.nnI've referred more than 10 of my friends to this place, but I don’t think any of us will be returning. Spend your money somewhere with better customer service.
Worst massage/experience I have ever had and worst customer service. Never knew you could have a bad massage until this place. Even when they tried to “rectify” the issue there was no sincerity, no real apology and like they didn’t believe me. Dismissed every thing I had to say and blamed it on “poor match making” and tried to gaslight me. Will never come back and never recommend this place. My friends who regularly book here have already agreed to stop booking. You can keep your $27 credit, hope this was worth losing clientele over.
So damn frustrated with this Academy Massage place. They have fantastic massage therapists this review is nothing on them they all get 5 out of 5 in my books for all the ones I have seen. My gripe is when trying to book an appointment and their processing of Benefits is aweful! I can almost never get an appointment time I conveniently need or ask for, even if booking a week in advance! Why the heck they have Walk Ins Welcome on their signage is absolutely beyond me because they are always booked solid for weeks upon weeks on end! You can never get in! I am in pain and need help now not 3 weeks from now! I also found out they don't have direct billing for my insurance company SunLife! A huge, big well known insurance company! Anywhere and everywhere else I have ever gone has direct billing for Sunlife! It's unfortunate but I have to look else where now, I don't have $100 always readily available to throw down for a massage and have to paper submit it and wait weeks for reimbursement from my insurance. What an absolute disappointment and huge inconvenience this is. Brutal!
Jackson Xiangdong Li is amazing, highly recommend 10/10 and very knowledgeable. I was suffering with pain unable to bend to put socks on for 4 months, and working construction has been miserable as such…. After an appointment with him I already noticed a huge difference in mobility and less pain. Happy I found him and look forward to this recovery.
