Don’t trust to what they wrote on the Windows or in Google Business hours!! Not accurate opening time, I was there at 1:30PM and the receptionist told they don’t accept patients after 12:00, I was told before I can walk in weekends and no need to book appointments, the funny side I just step in behind someone else and she the receptionist asked him to take a seat and wait!! I just wanted to get my routine vitamins injections!
Disrespectful and impolite staff passing wrong information. Receptionist Amber is very discourteous. I have told to come at 2 pm to visit the doctor; I took half a day from work to see the doctor. I reached there at 1:45, and the receptionist said to me that Dr schedule was fully booked and she had no answer about when was the best time to come for walk-in patients. You can line up in the morning for the doctor who starts duty at 2 pm. Unfortunately, it’s a pure business in this city, and lack of care or empathy for patients is a disease these clinics suffer from
This clinic doesn't take melanoma seriously. I went in for a check up and booked a date for removal. I get to my appointment and the doctor says he doesn't remove moles, and if I wanted one removed or a biopsy done that I'd have to wait another couple weeks. What kind of place is this? I already booked an appointment specifically for this and now have to wait another couple weeks for the same thing I booked earlier? How hard would it have been to at least try to fit me in a bit earlier?
Receptionist was able to slot me in for an app last minute! She was super helpful and professional on the phone! The female Doctor I seen was also absolutely excellent! Will be back! Great team : Thank u!
I didn’t overly believe all of the negative reviews and went in with an open mind. Hours of operation on Friday as stated over the phone, on google business, on their website and on their door are 9:00-8:00 There are fifteen people in line, it’s 9:50 and the clinic is shut, with no one in sight. I lined up at 8:00, Hopefully the clinic opens by 10:00 and hopefully they let walk in’s to see a doctor this morning. I’m not angry, not frustrated, just genuinely sad for our healthcare system and that a Doctors office that is meant to heal puts people in stressful and anxious situations while they’re already ill and looking for help. It’s a let down. I hope the doctor is OK and nothing serious happened to them. The benefit of the doubt would have been easier to give if most of the reviews weren’t like the one I’m writing. Edit: I left at 10:30 as the clinic still hadn’t opened.
Worst clinic to go as a patient, Dr. Sharan Riyat came to the patient room after long waiting time, without any eye contact,no greeting like a hi, or asking how am I today, no compassion in her face, not even fack one we expect from these egotistical physician... I am wondering, aren't they not learning to be caring and compassionate in medical school???? Or they are just going to school to feed Their egos and make money.
Went in for walk- in. You have to come at a certain time to be booked by your name and come back at a certain time onces it's booked by the receptionist. If you miss the walk in time frame some days they don't have walk-in , you might not able to see a doctor because it's all booked. So it's better to come as early as possible. Receptionist is helpful and kind. The doctor is friendly and knowledgeable, you will be taken in good care.
In medicine you must take the Hippocratic Oath, “I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm.” Commonly pronounced as “First, do no harm.” While most health care professionals live by this, incompetent doctors at ostensibly “family” focused clinics like this one, don’t. After catching a slight cold, waiting 14 days until we were better, AND taking a covid test negative, I called the public health number we were given after having our newborn. She asked us questions, then told us to go to a walk-in clinic to see a doctor. Our infant was making odd sounds in her throat and because of her age, it was urgent she be seen. We had an appoint with our wonderful GP on the weekend but the public health nurse urged us to still go to a walk-in clinic—just in case. Infants are vulnerable and you don’t want to risk something serious. I walked into Yaletown Medical with our baby, and we were turned away by the secretary because the doctor wouldn’t see anyone in person who was “symptomatic.” She isn’t and we already tested negative. Apparently, we would have to have a phone call instead. A phone call does nothing to check out a child—let alone a newborn—and we already spoke to a health care professional on the phone. Some clinics are using covid-19 as an excuse to be lazy. Everyone would love to skirt their occupational duties in place of sitting around on the phone, but we don’t. Worse, using a global pandemic as an excuse to is not just lazy, it’s incompetent and malicious. And it certainly doesn’t align with the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm.
I do like my family doctor at this clinic however the way the clinic itself is run leaves much to be desired. For example, their policy on forcing walk-in patients to go to the clinic in order to have their name placed on the wait list, only to be told they can leave and come back at a specified time is completely illogical. Let's face it, no one knows when they are going to fall ill and will have to go to the walk-in clinic. Forcing people who are sick to rush to the clinic just to get their name on the wait list, when they can simply take their name via a phone call is ridiculous. I can understand if it is a new patient but if they already have information for an existing patient/s, then there is no need to force an already ill person to rush in.
The service I recevied was superb. Doctors were polite and professional and took time to explain procedure clearly . A receptionist helped me 2 times, they were fully booked but somebody canceled and she called me both times. I really apperciate her cosideration.
