XO Le Restaurant

One of the best restaurant in Montreal. The place itself is beautiful, the service is amazing and the food is something else. The chef knows exactly how to mix and match ingredients to give your mouth an unforgettable experience! We ordered the jumbo shrimp as appetizer and beef rib and grilled scallops for the main dishes. I highly recommend the beef rib. It comes with truffled cauliflower side which is so creamy and delicious.

First of all, the service is amazing, nothing to say apart from very professional. Second, the food was good, worth the price? For some yes and for others not so much. It was tasty, sometimes a bit too much, it lacked in "finesse" (we took the foie gras as a starter, the foie tasted bit fade and the artichokes and onions were too sweet for my taste). Other than that, the menu was original and the pasta that I took with kaki and mushrooms was very good. The desert, crème brûlée was still too sweet for an usual crème brûlée. However, the place itself is amazing. Good decor, nice ambiance!
