Great Indian restaurant in Old Port. The staff was very attentive and the food was supurb. It is a pretty fancy establishment and I was very under-dressed for the restaurant but was still treated like a prince. After a lengthy conversation with the waiter he suggested a dish for me and I'm glad he did! The atmosphere was so nice. I sat by the window and it is hard to describe the feeling, but it felt like I was in a movie or at least royalty. I am confident you will enjoy the restaurant even if you don't care for the food.

An absolute rip off! The ones giving 4 and 5 stars do not know what Bangladeshi/Indian food tastes like. Super mediocre food that comes with a super high price and a very small portion. I like fine dining, which this restaurant is, but if the taste doesn't live up to the expectation compared to the atmosphere and price, then it's absolutely not worth it. The biriyani was bland, and the quantity was not adequate compared to what they are charging, that too with a fixed minimum of 15% gratuity/tips. Being fancy doesn't mean you serve mediocre food at high price and then force customers to pay a minimum gratuity without acknowledging how the service actually was. In short, I can cook a better biriyani even with ready-made recipes.

We went here for dinner after reading some nice reviews. We went a little later in the evening, which was about 8:30 and it wasn’t overly busy. We were immediately served by at least three people after we sat down and I was getting a nice impression. However, after we ordered it took awhile for our server (servers?) to clear our appetizer plates, and they were only taken away as soon as the mains came and they had to make room. One of the servers was great at informing us about the dishes and what was in it, but we didn’t see him or anyone else again to check on the meals. I also had to get someone’s attention to ask for water. When you eat spicy Indian food you should make sure your customers always have water. I work in the hospitality industry and I was watching while some of them seemed to be just standing around. Not very good at all! Food was great but the service was what made our experience pretty disappointing.

One of the best restaurants in Montreal. The food was amazing and the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. A romantic place to enjoy the best Indian food I have had in a very long time.
