Yes, the rooms are clean, breakfast is good, parking is handy. The best reason to book here is the staff. The staff are not just friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond to assist whennthey can and it was always with a smile. This group could write the book on great customer service. Don't be turned off because of the lobby doors secured at all times. It was not an inconvenience to us. We noticed a few sad homeless people but neither heard or saw anything that was a concern. The wonderful staff made our 4 day stay exceptional. I give them 5 gold stars plus.

I used to stay here frequently when traveling for business about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, it appears that this hotel has gone downhill significantly since then.nnUpon arriving, we were greeted by a group of individuals smoking meth in the parking lot. Yes, the hotel parking lot that costs extra to park in. This led to my wife feeling unsafe to leave the building and was not comfortable even walking to the vehicle by herself.nnThe room we were given was in need of maintenance. The carpet had several stains everywhere in the room. The walls needed to be repainted, or at least cleaned; marks and missing paint. The ceiling in the shower was cracked and looked like it was separating from the wall. Chips out of the enamel in the bathtub. Lots of little cosmetic issues should have been addressed before allowing a guest to check in.nnI also found the checkout process to be unnecessarily long and tedious. Thankfully, there was not a long lineup, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. With my e-mail address and credit card already on file from the booking and check-in process, it shouldn't be necessary to stand in line to check out in person. This process could just use a refresh.nnOn the other hand, all of the staff I interacted with were polite and friendly. Also: I found the included breakfast to be very good, considering the hotel does not have a restaurant.nnNext time I need to travel to Regina, I will find somewhere else to stay rather than the Wingate. Unfortunately, this place has gone too far downhill. I would not recommend staying here.

I should have turned around the second I had to be buzzed into the lobby because of the homeless that frequent the building and designated parking area. I am thankful my vehicle was not broken into or robbed as there were many homeless trolling the parking lot looking into vehicle windows. You have to pay extra to park in the lot which wasn't disclosed at the time of booking.nnThe shower was also inoperable. The front desk staff of three, independent thinking people deemed it appropriate to not offer a room that had a working shower as that would involve having to clean another room. How is it even possible that the housekeeping did not notice that the shower did not work and how could the shower even be cleaned from the last guest? Paying full room rate when I can't even take a shower has left me dismayed.nnWhat've I experienced by both the staff, the harrowing emailed reply to my problems, and quality of this facility does warrant Wingate by Wyndham Regina being labeled as a 3 star. It's really a 2 star hotel at best. Lesson through my wallet unfortunately.

The receptionist over there was very rude his name was Lovepreet something. He behaved like he owns the property not even answered my questions properly totally disappointed with the services I will never visit there again.nHotel management should give him some classes to teach him how to behave with their guests and respect them.

The staff really do their best. The hotel really does it's best. The city itself is just... an undesirable place to park a car, or walk at night.nnMaybe I would suggest a gated lot, or on-site security staff. Honestly, though, it's Regina that needs to clean up, not the hotel.
