Staff at front desk was very unfriendly and none looked like they wanted to be there. Not one said hello from the front desk anytime I left or came back. Was there for a 6 night stay with an extremely late checkin and an early departure, not even thanks for staying with us. On Friday I had some free time so thought I would go down to the pool area. Which no one told me where it was or no info in room.nThe water in the pool and hot-tub like nasty with the walls of the pool so dirty I didn’t feel comfortable even putting a toe in to check the temperature. This was one of the reasons I picked this hotel was for the proximity to downtown and pool/hottub. Very dissatisfying to say the least.nI ordered breakfast one morning which was ok at best portions could be a little more for the price of the French toast breakfast.nThe room was always cleaned and coffee topped up the housekeeping staff were friendly in my encounters with them.nWhen booking there was no mention of construction so early morning work began most mornings which sounded like it was directly above me.nI believe there are better hotels to stay at in downtown Regina
We booked in at the Ramada under the medical rate as it was a fair cost. We ended up extending our stay an extra day. Both days were to include parking underground. Upon our return in the afternoon we parked and after about 15 mins had to return to car only to find a parking ticket on our vehicle. The staff at the counter were very kind in helping to void this ticket. Then in morning as we were getting ready to leave the microwave was used and it blew the breaker in our room and the room next door. After a call to the front desk again this was fixed very quickly. Upon arriving at our car, there was anither ticket in the car. Frustrated i went to front desk again and yes the staff was very kind about voiding it, but didnt really have an explanation as that is contracted out impark, not done by staff at Ramada. If I were to offer one suggestion it would be for having the shampoo, conditioner and soap affixed to shower wall. Much easier use and less soap/container waste. A greener option for sure!nOverall very good accommodations.
Very disappointing experience.nAt check-in, we encountered openly unprofessional and discriminatory behavior from the front desk employee named Olha. We asked a simple question in Russian. While staff are not required to speak Russian, she clearly understood us and deliberately refused to respond or communicate solely because we were Russian-speaking. We were polite and calm, yet were intentionally ignored. This felt like clear discrimination, which is unacceptable in Canada and in the hospitality industry.nThe staff overall appeared untrained and uninformed. Even basic questions about the hotel could not be answered.nThe hotel itself does not meet expectations for its price range. Furniture is old, the air conditioner was extremely loud and kept waking us up at night. From around 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., children were running and making noise in the hallway, hitting doors, while no one intervened, making it impossible to sleep.nBreakfast was misleading. Despite paying for it, there is no buffet — only a $20 voucher, with restaurant-level prices and additional charges if you exceed the limit. Parking was another surprise: an extra $19 per night, which was not clearly disclosed during booking. Too many hidden fees.nWe travel frequently and know what to expect from hotels in this category. This property fails in service, comfort, transparency, and professionalism.
We recently stayed at the Ramada for a wedding. Located on a recently redone floor of the hotel, our room was perfect. Very clean, up to date and so very comfortable. The staff was exceptional from check in, to service at the lounge, wedding events and breakfast the next morning. I have stayed here many times before-it gets better each stay. Definitely recommend.
After getting into the airport at 2:00 a.m., we got exceptional service at 3:00 a.m. in the hotel. In bed by 4:00 a.m., and happy about what we saw the next morning. Lunch was very good down in the lobby and managed to get checked out by noon. At 30 below. The underground parking wasn't welcome. Reprieve. Great checkout experience as well.
