Hands down one of the best hotel in Canada overall, especially at this price! Hot cookie given upon checkin; the breakfast complementary is not the typical boring continental that you get everywhere, but rather a free ticket to anything on their restaurant menu.nnThe food is great, and the staff is greater! From front desk to servers, everyone I’ve came across is cheerful, down to earth and got a great sense of humour.nnIn addition, the shampoo and body lotion are of good quality, not some super cheap stuff seen in certain other places.
Stayed here in August 2024 for an anniversary get away. I was expecting a lot more, especially after reading the reviews. The room was dated. Bathroom was so small the door is basically touching the toilet. The balcony was nice, but they are built on an awkward angel and don't come with seating. There were burns in the floor by the door and furniture was clearly dated and scuffed. The cleaning standards of the room were not want I was expecting, especially for a Hilton. I understand a bit of things being looked over but it felt like the room we had had hardly been properly cleaned. There was still tape with pieces of streamer hanging all over the walls, from a previous party before us. The staff are friendly and the location is great, but I wouldn't recommend this place. Outside of the disappointing rooms, there is also $17 a day parking which was not included with the $300 I spent to stay for 1 night and no amenities at this hotel.
I was here for a work conference and did not spend much time at the hotel as I'm sure most people do. The room was comfortable and clean, did not lack any amenities and completely met expectations. The front desk staff was friendly on checkin. The restaurant breakfast was very good and the lobby was very nice.
The room’s bathroom was cramped although the room itself was just fine for the single Queen I wanted. Room 1519. But this must be the only Doublewood in the world where I didn’t get a cookie on arrival. When I went to ask for one in the morning to go with my coffee back in the room there was some yarn about them being fresh baked by the chef at 2pm. It’s just lax. In-room cleaning happened while I was there. It was perfunctory. Rubbish not cleared, used cups and soap cartons, coffee pods not cleared either. Bathroom not cleaned at all. Bed was made and that was about it.nnThe breakfasts I’ve reviewed separately but it’s amongst the most disappointing I’ve had.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Room was amazing, clean, great view with a balcony. Loved being able to text the concierge. The location is great too! Loved the restaurant selections.nWill choose this hotel any time we come to Regina.
