We recently stayed at this historic hotel in Regina, and despite being nearly a century old, it's still well maintained. The staff were friendly and provided great service.nnThe hotel offers a good fitness center, convenient parking, and a small park across the street, with several restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it was located next to the elevator, which caused some noise at night. We reported this at checkout, and the team assured us they would update my profile to avoid rooms near the elevator during future stays.nnI liked the great breakfast selection, and the self-serve iced water and tea in the lobby. It's also pet-friendly, allowing dogs and cats for an additional $50 per stay.nnOverall, it's a charming hotel with great service, and I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Regina.
We've had a faultless stay here. It is simply the best location in Regina, facing onto and with views over Victoria Park, the city centre and beyond. From here, everything is accessible including the extraordinary Wascana Park, restaurants and galleries. The room was as perfectly clean, well appointed and tastefully designed as you would expect, and with the formentioned city views. The service was without fault. From staff at the checking desk, porters and service staff, everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Of special note was the service we received for our breakfast, the only time we had meals there. It was exceptionally prompt, friendly and attentive and performed by staff who really wanted you to enjoy a good experience there, right down to the delicious omelettes cooked before your eyes. In this city, there is nowhere else we'd stay. We are two very satisfied customers. They make the greatest effort to make theirs the premier hotel in this city and they succeed.
A great downtown location with essential amenities like a good bar, amazing beds, and quality staff.nI like nice hotels, and my first stay here in Regina had me pleasantly surprised. The hotel is historic, and does show glimpses of its age here and there, but the character makes up for it. A special shout out to Valentina at the front desk who was an absolute gem! We came in right after a blizzard, so the hotel was quite empty, and Valentine was so sweet and managed to talk us into two separate upgrades to the best room in the house for a discounted price of course - so amazing!nThe staff was great and the smoked old fashioned was top notch - oh yeah - Valentina sent us a special treat to the room - a custom gin and tonic with special side botanicals. Yum!nReal great spot. Highly recommend.
I always stay at the Hotel Saskatchewan when I’m in Regina and it never disappoints. The staff are consistently so kind, professional, and welcoming — they really make you feel taken care of. And the beds are incredibly comfortable. I always have such a great sleep here!
The property feels dated and clearly needs significant upgrades. The lighting throughout is dim, which makes the space feel even older and less inviting. Nights tend to be noisy, making it difficult to properly rest. The washroom is quite small and cramped, which adds to the overall inconvenience.nThe on-site restaurant also offers a very limited menu, with few choices available. Overall, aside from its prime location, there is little that stands out positively about this place.
