White Satin Bridal Couture

I went shopping with my best friend for her wedding dress here and It was a really good experience. I would recommend them to anyone I know who is getting married. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The selection is great, many different styles to try! We also checked out their bridesmaid selection and we are definitely going back. Needless to say the bride said yes to her dress!!!

Avoid alterations at White Satin: I did not have a good experience through alterations at white satin. I found a sample dress that I loved but needed alterations to correct the size and I wanted the back raised. I was assured that the alterations would not be a problem and was given an approximate price. Through the process I ended up being charged double what was estimated, had last minute complications (zipper was replaced and broke during my final fitting appointment) and finally when a corset was put in after the zipper incident (luckily I was not charged for this change) the take in of the dress was not accurately measured and my dress was too small. After all these complications the staff tried to convince me that the fit was fine. I took my dress to another seamstress and she was appauled at the fit and had to work miracles for my dress to fit me (3 days before my wedding). Overall the experience was very stressful and I felt the customer service was dreadful - I felt mislead, overcharged and pressured to accept the mistakes that they made. There was little accountability on their end.

When buying a couture designer dress I was expecting a little bit more in service. I asked to modify my dress and instead of offering me a quote they receive me with a bill that I was assumed to pay without consulting the price range. While they do have the best wedding gowns in town I felt that for the amount that I paid I expected to receive my desk in the best way, instead it was half steamed and my veil wrinkled. I just hope that they can take this as advice for the future I still love the boutique and the dresses they offer.

The girls who helped me try on wedding gowns were not outright rude but I didn't feel overly welcomed by them. I told them my budget was $2500 so I was taken to the first floor. Upper floor was for $3500+. Okay, fine, I get why they'd separate by price. But I was shocked by their lack of enthusiasm in helping me find a dress. They offered few comments and spent more time talking to each other than to me and my group. They only had 4 dresses for me to try on. Four!! My appointment probably lasted like half an hour. My favourite was a skirt (skirt and bodice were separates) and they told me they had no other bodices and that I should try With Love. Okay... so basically that ended the appointment. They wanted me to go elsewhere was the message I received. Maybe my budget was too small to be worth their time? Maybe I am overthinking this? I don't know. All I know is that I'm not going back there again. David's Bridal, All That Glitters, With Love, and Dominique Levesque all had far better customer service and selection. Go to those places instead.

I had an amazing experience at white satin shopping for my wedding dress! I wanted something very simple and discreet and the staff was excellent in helping me with my search. The team at white satin is so kind, helpful and genuinely a good group of people who care about the customer. Thank you!!!
