On a good day there is only a faint smell of urine. Beware of the drug users if you enter from the 17th Ave side. With the peace officers main headquarters being upstairs you would think it would be safer!! However you will never see a officer here.
I was on a 15 minute computer trying to print a document, my 4yo son had a 1-2 minute tantrum and an elderly worker expected me to silence a toddler?!? As we were passing through and planned to be leaving asap, I felt this was extremely uncalled for, inappropriate and unwelcoming for solo parents alone with children. A 4yo having a tantrum for 2 minutes is not a safety or long term noise risk. I think your older workers need to be trained in patience with children, and not discriminate against mothers who also need computer access. The other librarian working with me, said nothing, as we discussed the document situation quickly. Library's should be available for all ages and demographics to use, not just the convenient and quiet middle age.
Good quiet and nice,nOnly thing is it is by LRT station so u see lot of homeless people wondering around.nLibrary by it self at very convenient place, as u con reach here Vai bus and train.
Almost always have good service here.nnThanks for all that you do.nnKeep up the good work!
Visited this libary for the first time when it was open. It was nice to sit down, relax and work on what I wanted. Book selection, in my opinion was smaller than the main library downtown. However, what they had was interesting.
