The library is amazing. Having a fire truck in the building : All kids just light up when they see the truck. But it doesn't stop with the truck. The library also offers other play areas. There is a lot to do.
An amazing place for kids! A huge interior space, lots of books, toys and things to do. The fire truck is amazing, kids can wear jackets and helmets ‍.nnThe staff is also very kind and friendly, they gave to the kids different activities and also sit with them to draw some things.

This should be called “Fish Creek Play-place”. I was under the impression libraries were supposed to be quiet.. There’s a firetruck on the second floor. I think it’s cool generally, however there is absolutely no reason for it to be in the library. In addition, staff have the audacity to tell students studying together to be quieter as kids are literally screaming on the floor below them. If you need a quiet place to work, fish creek library is the opposite of that. After reading other reviews, I’ve read the library’s response about fitting the needs of the community. Turning a library into a play-place doesn’t fit the needs of the community; it fits the needs of parents.
Update: They are currently undergoing major renovations. The selection of books and kiosks have been severely limited.nnNice library with cool architecture and friendly staff, but it's absolutely miserable whenever there's a group of children around. There is way too much yelling to properly read or study anything with the amount of noise echoing throughout the building.nnI would probably recommend making sure there's no events for children happening during your visit to minimize any issues regarding this.
