It is a cozy and lovely library.nLibrary staff are so polite and full of energy and always answer you with a smile.nA small area for children exists as well.nI like the atmosphere of the library, especially the architecture because there are windows all over the library which benefit from the daylight.nIn addition, outside view from inside the library is very beautiful.nLouise Riley Library has a excellent access to public transport. Lion's Park station is a few meters in front of the library door and you have access to the bus stop exactly in front of the door which supports more than 5 bus lines.nYou can go shopping or take various types of delicious food in Northland Hill Centre near the library in the left side.nI recommend you to go Louise Riley library and experience study in a cozy and warm place.nI will be appreciated if you follow me and help me to discover beautiful Calgary and other places of Canada together with your comments and let me know if my idea is useful for you.
Great place, nice people, and all guys are really kind. I loved place, system and tech is amazing.
This is a fantastic community hub. Besides ample space to read and study, there is usually some activity happening. It's nice to see that it's often busy and there are activities for all ages and abilities. The staff are extremely accommodating and really seem to care about their library and its patrons.nnFor a smaller library in the city, the book selection is excellent and appears frequently weeded. Interbranch requests usually arrive in a couple of days to be collected. It's very handy. There are a couple of free to use printers and chromebooks to borrow.nnThe kids area is open and has a selection of toys on rotation. The layout helps cooperative play and my kids love visiting. The book selection is excellent, especially for younger readers and there are small selections of children's books in languages other than English. For older kids, there are usually tables set up for craft or other activities away from the main reading area.nnBeing an open space it can be noisy occasionally but without a dedicated reading room e.g. Central Library, I think it's achieved the best possible use of space. There is also an Annex which is sometimes used for programs.
Nice library but ruined by the sheer amount of crackheads , oddballs and homeless that seem to frequent it. Maybe it’s a Canadian thing given your liberal , soft approach on this topic but you need to get a handle on it and keep them out , unstable junkies hanging in close proximity of children and young families?? Get it together , no wonder the country’s going to hell in a handbasket .
This library is desperately crying out for more space. It's impossible to get a seat at 4pm, for instance. A quick solution would be to add more tables in the central lounge. Also, kids should be allowed to be kids that is, annoyingly noisy in the playground area only, and forbidden to run up and down screaming all over the place.
