West Island Palliative Care

I recently lost my mother in law who spent a few weeks in the good hands of the staff from Teresa Dellar. They were wonderful. Pleasing. Attentive. Caring. Warm. Understanding. Bravo to all of you. It is not an easy profession.

I have no enough words to express my appreciation for the care and dedication that this palliative care residence provided to my father for the past last three weeks of his life. I would heartily thank each single person serving at this residence. Because of them , my father passed away in comfort, peace and with lots of affection. My family and I are so grateful for the support and encouragement that we received. They made these difficult moments lighter and more bearable. Thank you

Don't be fooled by the luxurious exterior. Despite the fancy appearance, there is a complete lack of transparency regarding the treatment provided. Patients have the right to know exactly what they are receiving, and unfortunately, this place fails to provide that clarity. I wouldn't recommend it if you value honest medical care.

It’s hard to review a place when your loved one was there for less than 24 hours but I feel I must. I don’t know about food, activities or any of that but what I can say is the heart of that facility is huge. They cared for my Dad and my family with such love I’ll never be able to thank them enough. The respect, patience and care shown to my Dad in his last day will never be forgotten. God bless all the angels that work there, you all are amazing!

I cannot even begin to express how much gratitude and respect I have for all the staff here.nMy grandmother Frances was brought here from Lakeshore hospital after being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and was only around for a few weeks until she finally crossed over and passed away just last night.nnI had flown in from Vancouver the day before but my dad who lives nearby was around every day to see her and had nothing but good things to say about how kind the whole team was. Even in the short time I got to be around the facility I got to witness how much love the doctors, nurses, assistants, art therapist and other staff put into caring for not only the patients but to the family members. They truly are real life angels, and the level of compassionate care that they demonstrated was as if they were extended family members to us.nnI am forever indebted to each and every one of you who was there for my nanny Frances. May you all be continuously blessed with good health, joy and an abundance of love in this life.nnYou have all made a huge difference in making this very difficult transition as graceful and as comfortable as it could be.nnThank you thank you thank you
