I love the layout of this restaurant as they open up the front for the summer season. I’ve been here twice already and I always order the bun bo hue. Their bun bo hue is SO fragrant, it has beautiful hints of lemongrass and the spice level was perfect for me I don’t prefer it extremely spicy as it is traditionally. I will come back again to try more menu items!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Worst salad rolls I've ever had, huge but nothing but wilted romaine lettuce and two prawns. Paid 1$ extra for each sauce, and they came less than half filled, and the others were in a package smaller than McDonald's ketchup packs. paid almost 10$ for 2 salad rolls. Paid over 20$ for vermicelli that had the smallest portion I've ever seen, including one piece of meat and 2 prawns? this has to be a joke. Everything about this meal was more than disappointing. Less than half the size of any vermicelli I have ever ordered. Edit Could not stand the salad rolls so I decided to make the best of the situation and open them up to eat the prawns with the peanut sauce. What I thought was 2 prawns is actually one cut in half and the peanut sauce tastes more like chemicals than anything peanut-ish. The meat in the vermicelli was horrible as well as the spring rolls, not cooked and definitely not crispy. Still felt frozen.

The beef carpaccio was interesting. Not great though. The soup was tasty. Karen was the server and she is fantastic the whole atmosphere is very cool.Food: 2/5

So if you’re looking for a ‘new spot’ this is an AMAZING choice! Viet Lounge hasn’t been open that long, but they’re open till MIDNIGHT! Which is SO AWESOME for us night owls! Every dish we ordered was PERFECTLY seasoned/flavoured, cooked and the sequence they were brought out was on point! Beef carpaccio - quality cut raw beef with perfect seasoning - DELICIOUS Sriracha Chicken Wings - GIGANTIC sized wings drums and wings PERFECTLY fried up with a perfect level of sauce coating even for an EXTREME sauce lover! - AMAZING! Bun Rieu - GIGANTICoversized bowl FULL+ serving of the BEST BUN RIEU in Calgary! VERY few Vietnamese restaurants offer this dish! It’s done PERFECTLY here and the portion is just completes the ‘DREAM’ of a meal! The décor is in an ‘industrial/loft’ style setting with slightly darker lighting that’s almost ‘night club’ esque that combines to give diners a more ‘OG style’ of food experience that very uncommon in Calgary. For a newer restaurant to be at the level I experienced was VERY impressive! The ladies working late the night we attended were very attentive and personable! Their level of service got them a 40%+ tip! I almost want to say it’s the BEST Viet I’ve had in Canada, but I’ll need to go a few more times to ‘test’ The current 4.2 rating is VERY misleading and undeserved!

The food there is pretty good, definitely tasty broth. The sate could be a bit spicier but it was good. Only complaint last few times is having flies fly around.Food: 4/5

Food was delicious and authentic. I also love the long opening hours. Perfect to grab a bite before hitting the Rec Room. Service is a little slower than industry average 25 min for 3 entrees but they are working hard and upping their delivery time as they also manage multiple online orders with the dine in.

We had a rice dish and a vermicelli dish, and the food is a bit pricey for the relatively small portions that you get, but it was definitely delicious. The tea actually stood out most as impressive, really tasty and nicely scented compared to other places, a lot closer to green tea you actually get in Vietnam. The service was quick and friendly, and we were able to express specific requests to the server in Vietnamese no problem. Brand new restaurant so unsurprisingly was really clean and modern designed. Overall was a good experience and recommendable.

Authentic! Nice presentation! Clean! Fast service! Friendly servers. Big portion at an affordable price. Drinks are tasty. Comfortable and great vibes. Do not hesitate to dine in here or even takeout or delivery. Hoping the quality of food and services won’t change in time. Keep it up!

Food was just ok. The Bun Bo Hue was pretty bland. The Bun Rieu tasted like tomato soup. The Beef Carpaccio was pretty good. Service was good.Food: 3/5

Had an incredible time at this restaurant! Jo and Helen were exceptionally friendly and made my evening unforgettable. The food was divine, and the prices were unbeatable. Cozy atmosphere, delightful staff, and amazing cuisine. A must-visit! Kudos to the team for a fantastic experience! Food: 5/5
